Looks like your point of focus is right where the magenta lace meets the pink lace under the buttons. Should have been on her eyes.

Not sure if I attached this right but I warmed it up a little then did a color boost in lab, then color balance. All in Photoshop.

It's a simple process to submit a property release for art created by yourself and also required by responsible agencies.

Most of us read this information on the wsj. We don't copy the info and spread it all over photography forums.

How can it be an iStock thing if you find a lot of results on other sites too? And did you tried a search with google images?
There are fewer than 900 images at Shutterstock with that keyword. There are approximately 63,000 at iStock. That is why I believe it is an iStock word which has ended up elsewhere via keyword copying. As I said above. And possibly also as a result of formerly exclusive work later being uploaded elsewhere using existing metadata. As I said above.
The other reason I am guessing it is an iStock thing is because there was an era when some of the people doing stuff on the content side at iStock I think had a tendency to use words rather like that in order to flag particular content or to describe particular initiatives.
(Not discounting the possibility that a few pictures at any site might actually be tagged with that word for literal reasons).
That is an interesting thought. I wonder if I put that word into one of my images if it would jump up five notches in the search algorithm?

I wonder if that word has been added to all these photos later by someone other than the photographer. I can't imagine why that would happen but also can't imagine anyone adding this word on their own. Possibly some hackers idea of a secret joke?

While browsing some photos on iStock I noticed a keyword ( aciculum ) near the end of the list. This was on a photo of a semi-truck. I looked it up and see it is a part of certain insects but wonder if there is some other usage of the word in other parts of the world.
The only reason I decided to inquire here is after putting the word into the search field 583 pages came up and the first photo is the famous one of the little girl blowing on the dandelion seeds. I also checked randomly and found the keyword on all the files I checked. I thought I was well versed in the English language but if this word is that common, I must have missed "aciculum" day at school. It's late here so I will have to wait till morning to see if there is a need for such a word. Thanks.

Not a video photographer but I was amazed the examples shown in your "Trends, styles, and techniques" section. Beautiful works.

If the wait for a reply to your application is overwhelming, you can check by going back to the "call to artist" page and click on the "apply with Stocksy" button. It informed me my application is waiting for review and I would be notified by email after the editors had time to check it.

I like the idea of Stocksy being difficult to get into. If at some point I make it there as a contributor, it will give me a great sense of accomplishment. I certainly wont disrespect another photographers work because of my own failure. I'll keep trying to better my own skills for the next opportunity.

Well, in the United States, it's about the same as using the n-word. If someone had used that for their user name, I could see someone else not liking it.
I had never even heard of it until this thread, and I highly doubt it's in the same category of words as the n-word here in the US.
There's even a restaurant with the name in California. If it were equal to the n-word, I'd expect some pretty negative press and an angry mob outside the restaurant.
I guess your much younger than I imagined EmberMike. Although at one time before the negative connotation later associated with the word, there was a chain of Sambo's restaurants.

Personally, I believe this shows the level of their desperation! They have been hurt bad by the opt-outs and need those photos back in the mix.

I was removing files from Fotolia, starting from my 0 sales end. I ran into some without a delete option. After checking I found 110 files from 2008 added to the free file section. Is there a method to remove these files from Fotolia?

It seems a legitimate matter of public interest to me. I would expect real exclusives to be quite angry about iS and Yuri destroying the concept of exclusivity, because if it is as important a selling point as iStock have maintained then a loss of confidence by buyers in whether high-priced files really are exclusive is damaging to all the proper exclusives.
Noted and valid point. Perhaps it might get more mileage bringing it up on the IS forum, and send a message to contributor relations. I think this would get more mileage as then you would get the real exclusives in conversation, including the one or two that replied to this.
There'd be no meaningful response from CR and a forum post would be locked quicker than you could say 'oneruleforaselectfewanotherforeveryoneelse'.
So this is the only place we can discuss these issues, even if it is pointless.
take action to find out if your above comment is speculation. you never know, they might not lock it, and you never know CR might do something about it. if no action is taken, then the speculation will always continue. did you ever stop to think that GI and IS might not even know that yuri is double dipping without their knowledge? maybe yuri has requested to close the accounts and they did not close them. i actually think if they locked the thread or deleted it, that would be the kiss of death for them. it would really piss a lot of people off, including me. i am not a fan of the IS nonsense of all in or all out, especially when GI allows image exclusivity.
nobody will ever know till someone takes action and does the old copy and paste of what has been noted above.
it won't be me that posts it, but if it does get posted, then i will certainly get involved and ask why 'oneruleforaselectfewanotherforeveryoneelse'
It appears someone took the required action, so we patiently await the results from your inquiries.
