Just beginning with video and 4K. Don't intend do upload videos at GI.
Worry about possible $0,003 video sales at GI in a few years.
you don't need to wait few years...0.0003$ sales are already there....istock getty it's a joke for video...

how do you price your clip on pond5?? I don't change the price defaults on pond5 - I am lazy ;-)
it doesn't take much time,you can set price for all the clips from your upload page or from the account setting page...btw if you sell on istock it doesn't make sense to have higher price on pond5...
I know it is easy to change the prices, but as you said, i am not exclusive to pond5 so I stick to the default prices, as pond5 would sell for a lower price anyway if the customer asks for that.
from my point of view if i sell the same clip on adobe and ss the default price for me is the price of adobe and ss 79/149...it doesn't make to much sense price at 50/25..overall if it doesn't bring in more sales which seems to be your case...this only my opinion...have good luck with sales...

My numbers for January - May 2021:
- Pond5: 2 video sales (18% revenue share)
- Shutterstock: 12 video sales (33% revenue share)
- AdobeStock: 1 video sale (16% revenue share)
- I-Stock: 40 video sales (33% revenue share)
All sites have the same portfolio - Pond5 performed a lot better in 2020 for me.

totally or close to dead. Sell 250 video on istock and ss and some on adobe but sell only 2 on Pond5. This website is dead waste of time. Thank to stocksubmitter bucause without it i have totally waste my time
if you sell on istock 50$ for 4k ,how can you pretend to sell on pond5 or adobe the same clip??pond5 is selling a lot for me..

Anyone knows what type of license a customer should take to use a stock footage clip in Broadcast TV commercials. One of my clips was sold with a standard license at iStock, however, I saw it being used in my local news ad. The ad is shown multiple times a day for several months on one of the main TV channels in the US.
How many dollars did you earn for that clip?
the average at istock is about 3$ for clip...go figure...it doesn't worth to sell there...

from my experience i can say that payoneer sucks...no customer service,if you have any problem it's almost impossible to contact them...at the beginning of this year i had to send them documents to prove my residence,it took 2 months and many attemps to get this documents approved...not to mention the issue with their card holder last year when they blocked all the cards...
Sounds rough, but I have heard similar about Paypal too if you are unlucky enough to have to deal with them outside of basic transfers. I haven't had any major problems in that regard (just hate their crazy fees and not allowing foreign currency transfers out). I am transferring to a bank account. Could I ask roughly where in the world you are based?
Anyone else had similar problems with Payoneer? This worries me...
italy...if you google payoneer card issue or payoneer rejected document card approval you will find lots of posts even if they delete most of them in their forum...

i'd stay away from istock...from my 1year test i can say that all the clips that i sold through istock suddendly lost traction(sales) on adobe pond5 and ss...so in my opinion it doesn't worth to sell on istock for 3$ and lose part of those sales where other agencies pay you better

i think that they already have the lowest reveneu in the market(apart for unlimited subscription agencies) and with this new pack the revenue for artists will drop even more...considering the cumbersome upload process and the reveneu it doesn't worth to upload there...

The free collection seems to be small. That's fine to me if it doesnt grow too much. Now please can you add a social media share button on images ?

hi matt,i see that the long sighted idea of the free collection from adobe to attract new buyers has already some followers...pond5...and other agencies will follow...it doesn't take a market genius to understand that to take advantage on other agencies needs ideas not just offer content for free...sorry for the outburst,don't take it personal...

About $2K a month from the subscription sites, give or take. No, that's not enough to buy a Ferrari, but I don't think anyone making even considerably more than a 'decent amount' would be making enough of buy a ferrari, whether they submit to subscription sites or not.
Unless they save up for quite some time and get a second hand one.
Accounts for about 50% of my monthly earnings... the rest from more 'traditional' agencies.
go figure if you would sell this footages at normale price....all the sales you make on unlimited subs sites are sales that you lose somewhereelse...

If you still had content on SS then you would be making more money than you are currently... even if only one dollar more. Do you have any evidence to dispute that?
Another thing is that P5 sell for same price same clip if available somewhere else. Which means 1$.
They do do that for some site, but not SS. And even if they did, it would be $25 for HD and $50 for 4K... not $1. Kind of makes it hard to trust what you're saying when you don't even know the pricing minimums that P5 use.
Pond5 has a system in place where if a client sees the same identical clip for a lower price elsewhere, P5 will equalize that price. Meaning if you have clips on both SS and P5, and someone sees that on P5 they can ask for the same pricing which is a massive discount.
So a clip worth 35 bucks on P5 suddently becomes worth $1. There was a lot said on this topic already btw.
However that also means that you're throwing random accusations without having any solid information which makes it hard to trust you  but hey if you like selling for peanuts and bringing peanuts to the table, I can't stop you mate, but I can only wish you well.

You'll see it states that the price guarantee won't apply to any prices under their minimum of $25 for HD and $50 for 4K... which is what I said.
yes because "match price" only applies to "standard sales"...no subscription or any special deal...pond5 has already its own subscription called membership,so it does make sense...

yes,you're right but it happens that to make that 0,01$ sale on ss you lose that sale somewhere else where you get let's say 20$...so 0,01$ - 20$= -19,99$....to me it's not a great deal...btw i'm not saying ss is the evil,istock and unlimited subscription sites are much worse...

Yes, it's about content. And how seriously can you take stock? Prices are falling so that soon you will have to pay to them to use your work and contributors are leaving by hordes.

I beg to differ. Smartphone cameras are excellent, because they are always at hand. You can make some great editorial, although you didn't bring your gear. And sometimes, when you shoot editorial, on the street, people get nervous if you pull out big fancy camera with gimbal or tripod. When you use a smartphone, people tend to be more relaxed and think of you as of a tourist or a vlogger or something.
What I'm trying to say is: yes - cameras are better, but you can add great stuff (mainly editorial) to your portfolio using your phone.
i agree with you about editorial content and shots that otherwise you can't take...i dispute using smartphones to produce stock as the only tool you have....

90% of sales are hd now....btw i'd upgrade the gear...i personally don't upload to low comission agencies like istock or unlimmited subscription agencies so sales pays off my equipment...
