Hi everyone,

I'm announcing a big update in the workflow for those of you submitting generative AI images to Adobe Stock. With the successful launch of the search filter and generative AI display in the customer facing site, we are no longer requiring you add "generative AI" to your title or keywords. Effective immediately, you can stop adding "generative AI" to your title and keywords if you prefer.

It is VERY important you continue to select the "created using generative AI tools" checkbox and that you submit your generative AI content as an illustration. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Mat Hayward

Do you realize that no one of AI uploaders is forced to select that option ?
Do you realize  that yellow bar in upload section does nothing to force them to upload AI content as they are pleased to ?
Do you realize that AI content is uploaded even as photos ? And there is nothing to stop AI uploaders to do so ?
Do you realize that AI content is uploaded even as vectors ? And there is nothing to stop AI uploaders to do so ?
Simply look at new photos or vectors in collection, you'll see what I am talking about.
Do you realize that there is various groups on social media that are posting, on daily bases, basically content with how to F**K Adobe  and submit AI content?
Do you realize how much it is demotivational for your contributors to wait 28 days for moderation and we all know that cause of that is AI pandemic ?
Do you realize how much it is demotivational for your photo/vector/illustration contributors to see that blurry AI "art" with deformed faces and hands are accepted ?
Do you realize how much your AI acceptance with no quality standards harm your photo/vector/illustration contributors ?

Yes...there is a 500 Ai uploads as limited.  Thrust me and don't ask how I know that. :)

And yet I have over 900 AI images waiting to be reviewed, so excuse me if I do not "trust" you on this issue.  ;)

500 For a new members. Sorry , I forgot to emphasize that.  :)

C'mon guys and girls...we are discussing here about Adobe rejections....while our work is moderated by "Moderation Team" which is composed of people who received 7 days of moderation training.

I bet in my year adobe sale that at least one of them is ex house cleaning woman or it will be much appropriated to say maid ?

There is already limited AI uploads implemented....to 500 "images".

I have way more AI images waiting to be reviewed in the queque than that.
From what I understood there is only a upload limit for new accounts anyways, but I have not read any number mentioned anywhere.

Again all contributors at Adobe doesn't have a same status or treatment.
Nothing new.

Naive question: why not implement upload limits, especially for gen ai content?

Because the onslaught will not stop. There are so many youtubers screaming how easy it is to make thousands on Adobe.

And when firefly is opened for commercial use, that will bring in a lot more people.

Same thoughts. If the AI content is plugging up the formerly functional system, just limit the AI uploads, let the rest of us keep working. Another case of punishing the people who aren't causing the problems. Many new and more stringent laws have come around lately in the same way.

Limit AI uploads, there's a limited need and the demand will be fulfilled soon enough, without over taxing the rest of the system.

Just can't wait to make some new uploads and see what happens. Personally I haven't seen an increase in rejections, but I would understand if files that used to pass, style, subjects, camera all that, are now being rejected, people would take notice and be unhappy.

To be fair, Mat is not a reviewer, he's an advocate, he has mostly the same information we do, from our observations and personal reviews. I know he has more, but that doesn't mean we should assume that he's told everything, in detail, about how things work inside the intake department. When I asked Mat about a rejection, he looked and nailed the reason, which I had missed myself. After that it was easy to see.

There is already limited AI uploads implemented....to 500 "images".

The moderation team on the other hand, does not have the luxury of time when it comes to analyzing content. As has been noted in countless posts here and elsewhere, the wait time for review is taking an unprecedented amount of time. There is tremendous pressure to get this wait-time down to a more reasonable amount. Even without that added pressure, the mandate has always been for fast reviews. The moderator needs to make a decision within a second or two and move on to the next image or video. They do this all day, every day, 365 days a year.

 " The moderation team " - what a WORDS.  :)
So, what you did ( by that I think on Adobe in general ) to check "The moderation team" capabilities to make a decision within a second or two and move on to the next image or video ?
At least for the new people in that team ?
I'm asking this because Adobe simply had to hire 5 to 10 new people recently (in a last  3 months) in a "The moderation team" in order to achieve AI files inspection.

Also I'm asking what are their competencies to join "The moderation team" ?
Are they photographers ? Vector artists ? Video editors ? Or just some random people who had 1 week training without any previous knowledge about stock industry ?

I would really like the review queue to go down, but what makes you think they no longer inspect with people?

I also believe Adobe is probably the agency most interested in working with us, because we are all Adobe customers.

With an attitude this negative, it might be best to exit the stock market and do something else.

ETA:

I am also now testing Topaz to get cleaner files. I am old, but I can still learn and improve.

No one said that Adobe doesn't use people for inspect / moderation.
Review time problem is because AI created files acceptance.

P.S. About "attitude this negative" part...yeah....it would be the best for all of us that AI "creators" exit the stock market and do something else.

Strangest thing about vector review time is the information that the beginner members share, on social media platform groups such as facebook adobe contributors group, that their vector work is reviewed in a day or two.  ???

To clarify, the date range you see in your pending files is based on the date you uploaded the image to the Adobe Stock contributor portal, not the date you actually submit the file for review. If you uploaded a file and wait for a while before submitting, the time pending you see will be longer than the actual time it has been in the queue.

That said, I acknowledge the wait time is still significant but progress is being made. We appreciate your patience.

-Mat Hayward
Thank you very much for the constant information!
It's good to know that things are progressing :-)

Have a nice day, Michael

12 days of pending for vectors. And 29 days for illustrations. I still can't see progress.
 This is so demotivational.

Thanks for calling this out, Sean!

Yes! The Free collection is back for photos and nominations are open. Please sign into the contributor portal and nominate any and/or all eligible photos as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Mat Hayward

What about vectors ?

It's only photos at this time. Vectors are not up for renewal yet. Thanks for the question.

-Mat

Can we expect this for video and vectors soon ?

Still 27 days for ai, I am really trying to focus on christmas.

Maybe a little halloween.

I really hope they can get the queue down by autumn. Uploading is more fun if you see content go online quickly.

ai is the reason for this ultra giga mega review time at the first place

Maybe you need to fill out tax form? If you are in non tax-treaty country, it won't help anyway, 30% of USA sales will be withheld.

My tax form is updated. And I'm pretty sure that tax form isn't reason for this.

Royalties guide at Adobe says that :

Minimum royalty amounts
The following minimum royalty amounts apply to standard assets licensed under the Adobe Stock Large Subscription (350 standard assets per month or larger). Standard assets include standard photos, vectors, and illustrations.

Lifetime Licenses*                   Minimum Royalty Amount (per licensed standard asset)
 0-999                                     $0.33
 1,000-9,999                            $0.36
 10,000 and above                    $0.38
*Excludes licenses from the free collection.

How is it possible that I have much $0.27 or $0.29 downloads ? ???

@MatHayward

Is there any chance that there will be Ai search term in filters or category in search panel on site to help users / buyers decide what kind of artwork or "airtwork" they wish ?
Or at least something like a subcategory for people - people with 6 fingers, people with 7 fingers ...you know....something like that?
;D
They need an extra finger. AI models have the right number of fingers, once  the supernumerary ends up somewhere inside traditional photographers...

There is an expression in my country :
" What grandma speaks about, that is what grandma likes."

So please stop this joker wannabee attempts and keep those fingers somewhere inside yourself.

10 days to review files.....It is obvious that Adobe is buried with Ai.
