Another thing i don't understand is, how i can attach the correct model releases after uploading with ftp???

place the release(s) on the moldel_release folder, then place the pictures on the previous folder, they will go automatically to those files (after you click on process)

I am still trying to figure out that mess at 123.  They have a very un-user-friendly system because you have to leave one page to get to the model release page.

I dont find it confusing, at 123RF you just upload your pictures, then on the website the releases and attach to them, if you do it after the FTP processing those will be the only pics there which will be easier

When you process FTP, you have to do that on a completely different page with no navigation buttons to the releases, so you have to type in a whole new URL to get to the release folder, that's what I am talking about.

true but I dont find it difficult or confusing

Non exclusives get 25%. I don't understand why so many people are interested to submit. A new site which starts at this level?

sales! that the final answer, despite the low 25%

Well, I think you shoot yourself in the leg. As long you are willing to sell your images this cheap you will ultimately get nothing paid at all! If you want to stay in this business you'll have to make choices.

I believe my pictures aint doing much of difference actually, all top contributors are there, shall we leave them collect everything? what can we do? leave IS, DT, FT?

I understood this, but what happens if i upload a batch with lets say 5 different models. Doesn't it matter which release go's where?

Still didn't manage to figure out how to change the title....

it doesnt matter, I guess if they see more people than releases that would be a reject, regarding the title dont know, better to have it already (IPTC)

The only cynicism you are going to meet here, are by the same noobs that keep bashing me in every thread, i.e. nobodies, so just ignore them.

the only nobody in this forum is you actually, do you know a person here that like you? time to grow up ok? you can do it :)

I hope you guys know each other and this is a joke between mates, otherwise Luissantos don't you think you are being a bit mean?  If I heard my kid speak like this he would be grounded for a month.

;D ;D,  but Luis, IS, a kid!  joined in 2010 and KNOWS everything, seen everything and done everything. ;D

very far from that and I am the first person to admit it, I do enjoy great photographers/pictures I just abominate people full of themselves, sorry

For some people is a commission cut.

for almost everybody, dont believe that are many contributors with over 1k sales

Nobody who already contributes will have their commission cut.  Crestock sent out an email informing us everyone is grandfathered in at 30%.  Only new contributors will see the 20-25% commissions.

exactly, had an email from them yesterday explaining that, they read this forum :D

nowhere close to 60k of files uploaded.... and Yuri have only  5K of pictures on the site....
Yuri has 534 x 100, which means under 53400 files
Takai has 672 x 100, which means under 67200 files

I am relative new on SS if is possible to have pictures in multiple archives/ galleries  than i am wrong.
no, not possible

...BUT yes I dont think 25% is enough, we all know where we are heading, so at least start high and then screw us :)

at least make some ranks like you have for exclusives, we cannot take 25% forever..

Could be a case of nymphotomania. People can't get screwed enough, so they're happy to get screwed whatever the offer.  :D

true for sure but like sharpshot said here if top contributors support them, what else can we do? let them collect all? they are the only one that can do something regarding better royalties, we all have in our minds the latest Veer deal where they have looked at our concerns and once in a lifetime an agency respected our wishes.. the ranking would be a very cool thing and for sure will bring the ones that arent already there

I agree, why not 25% until one contributor upload up to 5000 images and after this level 35% or something like that. On this way Photodune will grow their portfolio quick and meantime will have enough $ income (75% for the agency) for marketing.Another level(%s) can be depending on the sales amount.

5k pictures? must be in terms of sales not amount of files, it doesnt make sense

5095
...If nobody had uploaded to them after they came up with their stock photo site, we would now see higher commissions....
Unfortunately, that didn't happen.  Lots of top contributors were with them from the start.  Some of them complain about lowering commissions on other sites but uploaded everything for 25%.  I've given up arguing about commissions.  It looks like its too late, I dread to think how low a commission lots of the top contributors will accept.  It looks like microstock will be unsustainable for me, so I might as well upload everywhere and make as much as I can while I'm working on other ways to make money.

I still think the sites would make more if they payed a more reasonable commission.  My motivation to make new microstock images has gone now.  I would make more and the sites would make more if they payed a higher commission and I had a reason to carry on producing more for their buyers.

I agree! I am already contributing there BUT yes I dont think 25% is enough, we all know where we are heading, so at least start high and then screw us :)

Hardly Holgs,  I have kind of dominated that nieche in RM, RF and Micro, for the last 10 years. Why do you think the Getty-RM, gives me such privilleges?  not just in oil but in nuclear, engineering, technology, etc.

love your attitude lol how does it feel to be in the top of the world?  ;D

if there wasnt yuri you would be the number 1, the speech you got it already, never seen a person so full of himself

so many great AND humble photographers around here, I really dont get it, are you too old to change?

we all know you made 500k since you entered stock, you can have it as signature
