of course there is no bot, bots cant check for trademark infringment, but they do use automated processes to prescreen images for other issues. its not rocket science, as soon as the image is not deemed in focus, its rejected, and then we moan to cs, and then a person will tell you to resubmit,

at least its cheaper than the 480 dollar they initially asked and still its a doomed half baked project for many reasons. this will never work unless all images are available from the same source at the same price

how come that something that has been working for years, all of a sudden is broken and its almost too complex to fix. they are obviously changing stuff in the back ground and as a result broke the map. classic example of not having a clue what you are doing and add more band aids as you go along. tech company my hole, ss is rapidly becoming an istock clone, all we need to do now is wait for the sales to drop for the transformation to be complete

i think people are messing with the poll for a long time now. the numbers dont add up. i think the poll has become fairly useless bar the glaringly obvious fact that ss is still the biggest earner for most

if you are saying that micro stock is more about business than being a photographer, i respectfully disagree because you have no influence over the business whatsoever other than adding or deleting images from a portfolio entirely promoted (or not) and being sold by (or not) an agency. in micro stock you are the photographer, and other people do the rest
if you run your own photographic business and control 100% of how and where your images are sold, then yes, its is as much about business than it is about being a photographer
still photographers are not renowned for their business acumen bar a few exceptions such as Gurksy and Lik

stocktastic, how do you price fair for all sizes using only one price? why even offer the option of a small size download if the price for the full res is the same?
