before thinking of that I guess you need like a few months and perhaps a little more to see what works for you, some portfolios might work only at IS, if you have some unique photography style etc.. on the other side their royalties % to contributors (exclusives and non seem to be going down..) but I am sure some will do a lot better as exclusives, try yourself first and see where do you sell more.. regarding agencies all top 3 agencies that offer exclusive have "screwed" contributors, year and after so upload to all, work hard and pray too

yep like SS and IS.. not all the other  honestly I am open to new agencies, I dont mind about uploading and such, there is one agency I am in for a month or so and curious not a topic about it here.. irockstock!

I am pretty excited about that site actually. I really like their philosophy and their management seem very level headed and on the ball. Not to mention their site design is one of the best, imo. Sales are what talks though, so I guess we'll have to wait and see how they do in that department.
I have been putting off giving them an intro until they were live and ready to go but obviously the 'world' can find them so they must be getting close.
you got me excited too as I read your comment, too bad we cannot see the "inside" of it but I believe there are nice royalties % or your speech would be different right?

my only concern about this was the lack of respect for me, that was the only thing that pissed me off, wish a lot of luck to an agency that is included on new stuff called voluntary code of conduct for microstock and other stock photo agencies.. LOL

I can't imagine what a Mark III would have that would make me want to upgrade.
Better AF (faster more cross points), weather sealing (good for some people), flash control from the body, more video modes with higher bit rate, gps, wireless connectivity for viewing on a laptop while shooting, few extra megapixels, higher fps... lots of things could be improved or added to make it better.
Nothing there that would prise another $3,000 out of my pocket.
wow.. what do you want from it? just curious! I have a D90 and I am planning to get a FF so I am waiting for new D700 or this III

How does the TFP alternative work? How much % do you pay them back with each photo sale you make?
I have never used models outside friends/family but if it is TFP why would you pay back to models??
Ok.. I clearly don't understand TFP (time for prints). Could someone explain this one for me? Yes, noob right here..
I dont know much too but I guess if you gave them a CD with pictures so they can use them where they want, I guess thats the job..

Strange is that only a few people here have complained about this issue. It's few weeks when these problems started. And in my case they are very well visible in "Earnings from New Content" graph.

last week I decided to give them a try with Editorial, so I have upload a few.. all of them were rejected because of caption, I wasted like 10 slots.. that was a crappy move, I should have sent only 2 or 3.. now I have one waiting for like 20 days.. really dont understand why it takes so long..

best match changes everything.. how can you say it is only about buyers? pictures are from who? from buyers too??
if we are contributors and sell our pictures and the best match changes we will feel that on the earnings, of course the more you sale the more you will feel, once it might be good or worst.. in my case it never changes once I sell just 2 or 3 pics per day there so I cannot say much.. but I am sure it affects everybody it just impossible not to..

A social=A person with an interest in photography can approach/chat/interact with members from Istockphoto content team.Ask for an autograph if they so desire  .
Social means ANYONE !!!
As to what that social shoots in her/his spare time is entirely up to them.Hire a model/location or just shoot editorial.

You should really go and meet some Istocker staff/contributors if you live there.The content team might work for Istock but most are talented photographers in there own right and are so friendly.
I really hope to meet a few more in the coming years.

The other day I included a US paper money in one shot and when I attempted to open it up via CS5 Photoshop the program stopped completed and told me to contact the US Treasury department. As a general rule to myself I usually only include less than a one third of the money showing- no stamps, and no modern coins (artists own the newer designs especially on the back of the coins)...
