Yaymicro / Re: Too early to take conclusions about Yaymicro?
« on: June 09, 2008, 16:44 »
I remember reading somewhere in YM forum that they will start with marketing in September after the summer. One reason probably is that by then they have eliminated any bugs on the buyer site of their system. The one reason that they have named for starting to advertise beginning after the summer is that vacation time is starting now and that it is lost money to advertise right now.

So I think that it will take longer then 60 days to find out how they will turn out..

At least for now the traffic graph at Alexa looks good http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/yaymicro.com

Do I get rich from it? No, but it is to get here and there some time a little extra surprise on your account.

At least the Alexa statistics is showing an improvement in traffic. I also receive one Euro for a referral sale the other day.

I get my first sale yesterday which is quite a surprise as Mostphotos has no future in microstock IMHO: this is a photo sharing site more than a micro stock agency.

Hmmm. I had the impression that they sell the images for EURO and not sharing them with other members.

Software - General / Re: new Application for Photographer

For me the application still has the problem that you have to divide the dollar amount by a factor of 100.

Not even anywhere close to the first $500. I started uploading photo to IS in March this year.

Cutcaster / Re: Cutcaster

I think they are moving to a new server, maybe it is temporary. Contact John or their support. John is usually quick with the fix or answer.

Yaymicro / Re: Ready for YAYMicro launch?
« on: May 31, 2008, 09:41 »
I don't expect any magnificent numbers of sales the in the beginning. I was reading that they start with their marketing projects in September, because of the low in the industry in the summer. This probably will give them also time to eliminate any bugs in the system on the buyer site until they start marketing.

General Stock Discussion / Re: 3 HDR questions...
« on: May 24, 2008, 10:40 »
They sold on BNPS so I can't link to it anymore, but if they have sold there why not somewhere else too.

Here is one with ghosting http://photo.hlehnerer.com/Gallery/Others/slides/Evening-Commute.html that I did quite a wile ago. I think the size is to small to submit it anywhere, I have to dig it up and and see.

You right with the water. I was trying out the software "Dynamic Photo HDRi" and was cheating with one image and one exposure braking the exposure within the software.

I looked at someone else hdr's photos in the last view weeks and thought that I have to give hdr a try again (just for fun). Here is a link to his portfolio on filckr http://flickr.com/photos/johnmueller/

I thought about this the other day too. I planing on creating some images similar to this one http://flickr.com/photos/o-boy/2495186768/ and will just give it a try.

I cannot see why it should not work for web use. HDR's have their appeal to the view because of the different color range.

Ghosting images often show a way of movement, and movement photo do get accepted and sell.
Picture like this do get excepted http://www.mostphotos.com/view.php?imgid=153560&referenceid=3532
http://www.mostphotos.com/view.php?imgid=160372&referenceid=3532
Those are not hdr but they show movement.

I use Picturenau, FDRTools, Photomatix, easyHDR, Dynamic Photo HDRi
