Photoshop Tutorial - For Intermediate UsersThis is a very Filter, and labor intensive process that brings excellent results. Need to create the illusion of an old antiqued image, faded and cracked? Then this should help you. It's a bit complicated you might have to pause the video. http://microstockpix.com/tuts/old/old.html

Photoshop Tutorial - For Beginners and IntermediatesIt's NOT about changing your images....no!. I prefer to say "I've just Enhanced my Images"Well, in CS3's new "Exposure Adjustment Layer", life just got that much more simpler for me to do it. Here I'll demonstrate my old technique, and compare it with what I can now do in CS3 Note for Intermediate users: In this tutorial I have my default "Masks on Adjustments" is turned off. The reason? I want beginners to get into the habit of using masks for filters, adjustments etc.http://microstockpix.com/tuts/expose/expose.html

Well if it's lighting, then maybe I can help with a little "Photoshoptic Surgery" we'll transform that dull lifeless image and make it "more gooder" than ever. http://microstockpix.com/tuts/adj/adj.html

Photoshop Tutorial - For Advanced Beginners and Intermediate UsersThere was a time when vignettes were "undesirable" in photographs. Vignettes in the real world are created by such things as wide angle lenses, lens elements, polarizing filters, lens hoods, etc...etc Recently I have noticed this effect being created artificially in magazine, on the web, and in wedding albums. It offers a nice touch to just about any image, and takes it one step further. I'll show you how to create two distinct types of vignettes that you can use to add some style, and take you one step closer to becoming a true "Photoshoptic Surgeon" http://microstockpix.com/tuts/vin/vin.html

Photoshop Tutorial - For Advanced Beginners and Intermediate UsersOh Boy! More fun than watching a hot dog get run over by a car on the highway. We'll start with 2 images make them look like they belong together, and then create an artificial "Depth of Field" (DOF) to enhance the illusion even further. Follow along with me, try it...and lets see what you did! If you would like a copy of the PSD file (2 MB) to try this tutorial for your self Download It Here: http://www.microstockpix.com/dof_tutorial.psdHere's the tutorialhttp://microstockpix.com/tuts/dof2/dof2.html

Photoshop comparison "Adobe Photoshop CS3" and "OnOne's Genuime - Fractals Version 5"See the simple side by side comparisons from 100% - 300% and 500% I make no claim that either one is better than the other. I leave the final judgement call to you. My only comments is that Adobe has really made some really big improvements in CS3http://microstockpix.com/tuts/uprez/uprez.html

Photoshop Tutorial - Intermediate and Advanced UsersNote: Please brace yourself to "Have Fun" before proceedingHere's a nifty way to make a presentation image from any image in your portfolio. Use only one image, and turn it into a business card, web banner or any other professional presentation you like. With lots of options: using text, the move tool, clipping group, and layer mask, you can configure your image anyway you like. (Also use the opacity slider -- I didn't mention that) It's all about having FUN!http://microstockpix.com/tuts/squares/squares.html

Photoshop Tutorial -Advanced Intermediate UsersMy attempt to create a technique I have seen a few times, I began to wonder if I could create the same effect myself. It looks like a Polaroid picture, with part of the images extending beyond the frame of the picture itself, giving the illusion of a 3D effect. Have a look. It was fun trying duplicate and I'm sure you can do the same thing with a few of your own images. http://microstockpix.com/tuts/3d/3d.html

What?! Are you saying this may have been a "half baked" idea, created by SS for the sole purpose of gaining popularity, and a following of photographers?
A marketing idea if you will, sort of the proverbial "Free Lunch" to lure photographer loyalty? If so, I think this is a cheap shot by SS.
I don't like the way SS conducts business in the first place, so I'm apt to run off half cocked, and crucify SS for anything. Perhaps I should be ignored

I don't know. I realize some like the blue colorcast, but I prefer a natural image. ...or one that appears to be natural with the slightest hint of blue

Photoshop Tutorial - Advanced beginners and Intermediate Users In my last tutorial: Quick and easy "Color Cast" correction http://microstockpix.com/tuts/colorcast/colorcast.htmlThere was some hemming and hording about the fact I did not include a way to find and set the neutral gray point on a colorcast image. Well although the tutorial was intended for beginners, all those more advanced users jumped all over me for not including it. So here it is. I hope those advanced Photoshoptic Surgeons stay off my case now! http://microstockpix.com/tuts/gray/gray.html

A member of my forum asked me to do this tutorial, so I am NOT responsible for it's contents. I'm a good soldier and do what I'm told (lol) So, that said I'll show you how to select an object...isolate it, and move it to a different position in the image. Another trick I show is covering up where the object was moved from, and no I didn't use the clone tool. Tools used in this tutorial are: The Marquee Tool The Free Transform Tool The move tool http://microstockpix.com/tuts/balloon2/balloon2.html
