Hello, I have well over 300 VIDEOS accepted (I only put videos and no photo), yet I received an email for the creative cloud photo and not for"any application" ...
Same here, support said it should take 2-4 weeks, but nothing here yet (I also got a Photo subscription only).

As you may know, some agencies use a different model when it comes to paying their contributors. Instead of the regular commission percentage per sale, these agencies share a percentage of their montly generated revenue amongst their contributors. The amount per contributor depends on the number of downloads compared to the number of downloads of other contributors.
Obviously, if the contributor's sales don't keep up, their monthly revenue will slowly diminish as better performing contributors get a bigger piece of the pie. The revenue per month is also directly linked to the performance of the agency as a whole, but in some ways this is also the case with agencies using a regular payment model.
So I'm trying to find out if this sharing model has any specific differences I'm missing. Could someone share some pros and/or cons compared to the regular model? Is this model intransparent or unfair? Is it something to avoid? Or is it a good and fair approach?

The more I submit to Shutterstock, the more I start to hate them. I created two versions of an animation, one with a distinct (and relevant) background and one on a black background (to give buyers the option to add another background in), and they rejected the first version. Any way to capitalize on my hard work is being undone by naive reviewers.
In the meantime they did accept thousands of ridiculous similars that make no sense at all. They've lost their marbles, in so many ways. First the insane vector requirements (which has shown they have incompetent people running that place) and now this all over the place similars policy.
Okay, I'm done ranting.

I have the same issues with the site uploader. It's buggy as hell. It starts off fine, with a decent upload speed, but then after a few files it slowly averages down to near zero speed and red dots for the remaining files.
I know there's an FTP option as well, but is a decent site upload system too much to ask?

Stop selling there and don't put up with this money grab. Their prices are terrible anyway.
You say it's "money grab" when they give you 60% commission, waw
About the prices, you place your prices. I'm not sure you've been ever seen the CMs website.
True, you can set your own prices, but there's no minimum price so you're directly competing with contributors dumping their stuff for very low prices. And 60% commission or not, increasing their slice of the pie without any justification is still a money grab, no matter how you spin it.

Not sure about their policy on that, but I don't see much value in a blurred image, so I understand their rejection. Any buyer can take a sharp image and blur it themselves if they want.

About average over here.
My favourite sale in oct'19 was $0.0006, the customer payed $0.00441 - its a kind of magic, when you can buy an image for <1cent ;-)
Don't spend it all in one place!

I keep getting $21 sales for 4k video downloads which is kind of unacceptable. Is that their normal amuont for 4K? Maybe it's time to reconsider if we should submit footage there...
Why the surprise? You could have known. One look at their video commission structure made me decide never to sell footage there.

Stock agencies are our biggest friend (how would I get buyers on my own?) and at the same time our biggest enemy.

Riding the "iStock Rollercoaster". BME by $4. Cool.
Perfect allegory for iStock: you get shaken upside down, you get nauseous and at the end of the ride you're left with a major headache.

Hello. For me, first month where I do the experience of selling video on istock (not -excluded), 6 videos sold for ... 8 euros all So certainly, I have sold ancune video on SS nor adobe and even less pond5 in October (but I'm relatively new in the stock) ... but 1 euros video in 4k, against a minimum of 20 dollars elsewhere ... it's a little abused.
If you think it's abuse, then you should close your account. Easy as that.

What is the average RPD (royalty per download) you get from various agencies when selling a video?
I want to break the exclusive on iStock, and I would not put it back on agencies that sell cheap. On the iStock (exclusive) for me the RPD is 6,9$. Most of files in portfolio are 4k.
iStock has such a low RPD it's insulting. Anyone selling video there, especially 4K, is undercutting himself. In comparison, Adobe Stock nets me 28 per video sale, SS is on average $16-$23, Pond5 around $35.

Unbelievable. They clearly favor some contributors over others, even though all these should have been rejected for being too similar.
But Shutterstock is going down the drain anyway, if they continue this way.

No offense, but if you're unhappy about that, you shouldn't do microstock and instead do real photography assignments. Or don't sell via Depositphotos, although most agencies sell for pennies.

Hello!
I have a weird problem. I have over 300 footages accepted, more than 50% acceptance rate and all uploaded this year, but I still haven't received the all app package. I contacted the support, and they replied that I'm not on the list and I have to upload more footages. Why is that? I'm pretty sure that I've already met the required amount.
Thank you!
Why didn't you ask them?

1) Quite rapidly ran into the IS corporate culture which I can only describe as nitpicky, rude, uncivilized and highly unprofessional - to boldy go where unprofessionality has never gone before as a matter of fact.
Just curious, care to elaborate?

I'm missing the ranking system, the sales data on each image shown on public...
but I don't miss the difficult upload method in Fotolia...
You mean the number of times an image sold? I don't think the number of sales should be visible to the buyer, no need to show that. Adobe Stock has a long way to go on the contributor side, Fotolia was great in that regard, but it's getting there.

Hi Adobe team! I can't find anymore the option to preview the footage, have you taken it out?
It was extremely useful. Because sometimes the image does not allow you to identify what video it is, in order to be able to incorporate keywords and send it for review. Regards.
I believe you can preview the video during submission by clicking an icon in the upper right corner of the keywords/title section of the screen. Not sure, though.
I think it's not there anymore ...
You're right, it's gone...Last time I uploaded I could watch a preview. They must've taken it out somehow.

DepositPhotos is a low earner for me, mostly $0.31 or $0.36 subscription sales. Every now and then I get On Demand sales netting me anything between $1 to $10 or so.
I don't upload very actively there anymore, in the past they've shown to have rather questionable ethics. I wouldn't recommend them.
Dreamstime has a better reputation, but sales have slowed down A LOT these past couple of years. So it's also a low, LOW earner for me. Again not recommended, but your mileage may vary

AFAIK Zazzle is an honest company. I think you should let support know that you cannot enter your account anymore, I'm sure they'll understand.

SS and AdobeStock share the top position, other than that it's all mid/low earners.

For me Canstock is still doing okay...vectors and animation mostly, maybe they're different when it comes to photos.

That certainly is worth investigating. I hope you get the payment you deserve. Please let us know whether you've been successful with claiming your royalties once your case is handled and kindly share the steps you've taken. It might be useful for other artists in the future. Good luck!
