It's up to agencies to remove the files.
of course! I actually believe that even agencies dont want that (perhaps DT wants but yes they keep on approving crap), reviewers (good/bad) they were payed no? so I do believe if they want to remove, they must do it themselves, I dont want to mess with their money or we will get another cut

yep.. you need to soften that light.. but overall you have no noise and it is focused.. I would get a little more warm temperature on the picture

I'm surprised they didn't raised the bar a bit more, as my theory is that soon the non exclusives will only get 10% cut.
it will stay at 15% but we will pay 5% to have pictures there

I am reading IS forum and beside the "thanks" ones, I am thinking of the ones that might have near 12500 RC but not there will get the same 25%, that must be a joy!

Mine all have N/A under the free column in the unsold tab. So far I haven't been able to find how to get rid of them. If they're not selling I don't really want them left on the site. And searching their forums didn't help at all.
Really frustrated.
I am sure they will check here and answer

Sorry if this has been asked before but my internet connection is really throwing a fit. Anyway, I've got some files in the unsold file section but not sure what to do with them. I don't want them in free but can't figure out how to just delete them. Does anyone know how I can delete them if it's even possible?
Thanks,
Anita
I believe they wont go free, I have a few too there.. would love to hear about this too

Aeonf is here but no gloating. And why would I ? lower targets are in my best interest just like anybody elses, I don't own IS stock you know... Sorry to hear you will proly be dropping to 25%, don't you think its worth putting in some more effort in order to keep your 30% ? I would also consider dropping exclusivity if I where you...
For us we got to the 30% mark about 3 weeks ago, we might get to the 35% mark in December, but its a very close call.
I am willing to bet they will lower the targets again at the end of this year, just like they did last year.
dont know if I laugh or cry at your post

Are lightboxes on Shutterstock public? If not, do we have the option of making them so?
never heard of that, gotta look for it

Yes, and it is the lack of community and intelligence of the community which brings us into this situation.
Oh yes! Too right!
It is surely the fault of us arrogant and unintelligent contributors that we are being shafted. It is our lack of community spirit. It is NOT corporate greed, poor economy, dilution, or any of the other excuses endlessly floated in these forums.
Certainly we contributors deserve what we have gotten and have basically asked for it.
Thanks so much for sorting that out so we can all see the error of our ways.
we deserve? I dont for sure curious this topic today, where are the new RCs??

Sorry - call it a hypothetical question to any of the contributors. I'm just pointing out what a value proposition from a site like this would look like.
warmpictures doesnt have anything with this website, nothing related, miles and miles away.. it is a contributors stock agency and there are no referrals links or other "weird" stuff..

So, what would warmpicture.com say if I said this: Look, I have a site that gives away a number of images I've shot myself with a few others - it has 50,000 visitors monthly, and they look at half a million pages monthly. I can show your images on every page they see, and show the images that match the search the visitor has typed in perfectly. I'll do this for free, and all you have to do is give me 10% of of the sale if my visitor buys from you. You do nothing.
Does that sounds like a good deal to you? (I'm not making a judgement, but I'm curious to know your answer, given that you may have investigated ways to promote your site.)
it is a contributors collection owned by Daniel, I guess he will answer this for you, I will let him know

Someone there is going through the "change of life" better wait with uploading for a few months.
you got me curious.. regarding uploading the amount is changing every week I dont understand why it is going up and down, really weird stuff, it does look that is it pressure from top contributors.. or maybe they are getting less submissions..

Here's an update on PNG files for iStock. This will double my portfolio and bring in higher revenue per image.
http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=329282&page=1
As long as you are not using up more than half your upload slots. If you are using them all, it will halve the diversity of your portfolio and switch some of your sales from jpg to PNG, cutting your jpg earnings by more than half (missing uploads plus diverted sales) significantly damaging your income.
I believe it wont work that way, if I read well we will be able to upload the PNG's to existent content, I dont believe that this will be part of the uploading slots..

jeez he is the referral pro look at his http://www.dreamstime.com/Littlebobek_info
And if you look at the list, you will notice that only one of the referrals has uploaded a picture. So I guess the rest of them might be buyers. I can't say it makes me angry that someone makes a lot of effort to recruit new buyers.
right.. but he is building income with our pics..

I actually dont think about it, I do have a few rejections and are approved at SS, IS, FT, DT etc.. I believe they know a lot more about illustrations than photos but who cares? I keep on uploading just like other agency, close to payout too

is Shutterstock going with PNG too?
http://buzz.shutterstock.com/about-shutterstock-site-testing
I didn't see anything in that page mention PNG - what did you see that made you think that?
I havent seen anything but I guess that because it is on the On Demand section.. intuition!
