Nope 3 landmarks will not make it anymore. They want variety, my gf was rejected a couple times for shooting things too similar like: 1. the Taj Mahal 2. Machu Picchu 3. the Blue Mosque. All good shots too, not spectacular but sharp, correctly exposed, rule of 3rds etc. The last time the inspector wrote that there should be a portrait, a studio, and a landscape shot for example. Basically 3 totally different kinds of shot.

thats a lot of information to process.. the start aint easy for sure.. so seriously my advice is to stay away from portraits etc if you dont even the right lighting (reflector, flash, strobe, whatever..) if I remember well (looking at them now) I have entered on the 1st time and with 3 landmarks in my second hometown (Lisbon, capital of Portugal).. so I would visit all your local landmarks and go there early or late hour to get some nice lighting, perhaps take the tripod too, be sure you go on ISO 100.. and take a lot of pics and get home and see what you had, do minor adjusts (because IS wont allow much..) like some contrast, correct wb and exposure too.. you can do a lot of other things like food if you have a nice window and let the light get in and use some white cards to fill in the subject.. but again thats not an easy subject because you need to have a look for composition, etc etc... composition is a most in every pic same as lighting.. regarding your pics I am not going to talk about the frog.. you just did a fast job and some parts were removed during your "isolation".. use the pen tool and feather the "selection" too until it goes nice along the picture (and that part in question too) the first skateboard is a very nice pic, I love it but like all have said it has tons of noise.. regarding composition and lighting I think it is nice too, watch out on your "exposure", your ISO the second pic it does look nice too but again a lot of noise and under exposed.. I use always the blinking setting on camera, use it too, it will show you the "blow out highlights" (areas that went white) then go a little under and your "good".. use RAW too because you can change a lot of setting, like WB, exposure, etc.. regarding monitor stuff etc look here: http://displaycalibration.com/

Chris I have always enjoyed your threads/comments/opinion but now you are becoming a little pretentious, you can be a top shooter, whatever but humble doesnt have price (newbie here doesnt count much) but I would take that way and forget "personal attacks", that would mean you are above

Veer is incredibly slow for me. I wanted to post that before, but I felt embarrassed that I'm selling there only 1-2 images per month. There are even months without sales.
Veer is really slow for me too, I am with them since the start (from SnapVillage actually), always nice approval ratio despite long time for review I had a lot of pictures online so I got only around 200$ for Dash for Cash Apart from that I had 77 sales and 178$ (1 EL) and 31920 views, this month 2 sales for 0.7$ From Juy 2009!

3 mins to enter sales and $? you arent placing their size.. if so it would take a lot more.. I used to do that and I have little sales but have given up and now only do the stats once a month on an excel, during the month I keep a txt

never had a random rejection at IS, actually I believe they are the most accurate agency around all, they send you sometimes a small preview regarding an issue on the picture.. and better than that, never had a "resubmitted" picture not approved

I havent said the opposite.. of course Dreamstime are worth the time.. they are just not worth when we "waste" time thinking of rejections for "similar and not what we are looking for", that when I see crappy pictures getting in everyday and of course I am not going to show them here (and it is a rule of this group)

I don't think it's fair to compare them to CC.
CC may have good intentions but I think I managed one sale there before I stopped uploading.
GL is in another league, still not the premier league of course!!
Sure they are.. not that I had a lot of sales but comparing to CC.. CC even got approved corrupted files, they arent paying attention and they are not worth uploading, I have been "updating" my portfolio into some agencies and they werent one of them

I dont understand really.. I understand when contributors say "downloads are going down" but when they "complain" about making a few more bucks thats not understandable.. better to be without a few more bucks??
when we have "less" money or money, we dont want more???
I dont see a downside on this photo+ actually.. unless IS was crazy giving you a lot of sales and you are taking a bigger risk joining p+

Sales for me on 123 are the same as BS. However, 123 sales were dismal compared to BigStock until I went in and put 10 percent of my port into FAVES. If you haven't done this you should. I saw decent ramp up in sales, something like 25%.

Bigstock sales are 10 times better than 123RF.
thats incredible, the changes between contributors, ok portfolio, buyers and so on but I have like 5 to 10 sales a month at BigStock and on 123RF I got like 60
