Willfully destroying the market you sell into is pretty stupid IMHO.
Doesn't this imply that anyone who is submitting to Shutterstock is stupid too?
right! lets end all agencies and go all on 15%-20% at IS with huge 10 cents regular sales!

you can find that on the main page of Dreamstime, then look above on the right News and Announcements
March 18, 2011 (09:11) Contributors: The upload limit has been decreased to 5 submissions/day (35/week). Such measure was taken in order to limit the massive number of similar and identical uploads. We kindly ask you to be more selective with your uploads. - posted by Tangie

Ugh. I'm having a hell of a time adjusting to my new fancy 23 cent royalties for XS You know it's bad when you can't tell by looking at the balance if you've had sales or not.
And yes, that partner program. I'm thoroughly against it, always have been, but man, would I love to make more than a buck or two a day again
Without the PP, I'd not clear $100 per month now.
As an exclusive, I was clearing about $500 per month.
The PP offered (and still does) a nice monthly boost.
only 100$ with a 2500 portfolio?

you have more than enough camera, 18MP you can get XXL on Fotolia and IS, you just need some lighting equipment and perhaps a nice tripod if you are going to do studio studio (objects, food, etc..) I got a D90 and a cheap tripod (really cheap one not going to even talk about it eheh) you just need to focus on photography, shooting weak, better, whatever, shoot! I use mainly a cheap 50mm nikkor lens

You won't have to check the site after the first time. Sales will continue to show once you see a number after their icon. You won't have to visit their site but one time.
That's not what's happening in my case. I had 12 sales yesterday, the toolbar worked only 2 times (using the previous described workaround).
Ok 123RF has a few issues because of their site but why not using it for other??
Because 123RF is important for me. If I can get the toolbar working on the main sites (the ones with the most income) then I'll use it. The way it is now I need to manually look for 123RF sales and add them to the total amount - not much difference from going entirely manual. It's either completely automated or not.
Sorry but I am not understanding.. does the bar take a lot of space on your browser? Do you prefer to sum up all the other too? I must be forgetting something once I dont see a point of not using it just because of one agency

you need to bring more light into the set.. it is dark dark despite a few blinks.. buy some strobes and you will see what I am talking about.. you can always place your set near a window and try to capture some of that light

time to time when a flower shows in my viewfinder I try to shoot it as best as possible then I submit it, when it is very good it goes in but mainly it isnt that hard to have a flower approved, the problem is getting sales when there are tons of great pictures.. but again if we think that we will never sell we wont pick the camera and try our best once stock have already tons and tons of great pictrues

dont have anything to add regarding the pictures but need to say how is possible that you are still learning regarding stock? curious how can someone so experienced like you still with doubts?
How is it possible to ever stop learning (about stock or any subject)? That's what makes it interesting and that's what makes the difference between the top sellers and the rest.
so true, I agree 100% as I do learn everyday but I am very new to stock regarding Tyler, yourself or others in this post, I found this great but after so many years doing the same ligthing setups, directing models and uploading/selling it is hard to imagine someone with doubts

Even with some people threaten to stop uploading, iStock has a huge queue.
Right now, there are 97736 files waiting for approval.
I wonder why.
less reviewers than in past, just that, dont believe they have more uploads now, actually I believe that with time less and less stock work will be done and uploaded, now even DT is on 35 slots

This is standard practice for Dreamstime; they vary the upload limits almost on a weekly basis
