I've had sales like that before, as low as $0,12. These have been credit sales (XS size, so one credit, and at 25% royalty for a level 0 image = never sold before). It seems that there are some highly discounted credits out there so we might end up getting such low returns.
But it's been very rare cases, less than a handfull in the last few years.
https://www.dreamstime.com/about-stock-image-licensesEven with a level 0 XS sale - where the image is older than 6 months with 0 sales - DT says one credit is "as low as" 77 in presenting prices to buyers. 25% of 77 is 19. Possibly there's more discounting going on that the pricing page is letting on? I have had a sprinkling of credit sales in the last few months; only one was for an XS and that netted 34

Nothing below 35cents.
Could this be a tax withholding issue?

I think there used to be a checkbox in the upload interface saying something to the effect of put this in the free section if it's rejected. If you unchecked that, the selection was remembered for future uploads - as with the extended license types and sell the rights options - but it was still visible. It isn't there any more - I have no idea when it went away. I would never have any image in the free section and would want it deleted rather than go there, but it doesn't appear that's an option. I found an old message (from 2017) about an image of mine that at the time hadn't sold. The wording is similar to your message but not the same. The key thing is that the "default" action is taken if you do nothing, and in my case that was to leave it online. That image did subsequently sell (although it wasn't a runaway success to be sure!) "Dear Jo Ann,
This is an automated notification. Your portfolio includes images that have been online for more than 4 years with no downloads up to the present. In order to keep up with the current standards we believe they should be removed from our commercial database, allowing fresh content to be more visible.
The following action options are available for you to decide:
- donate the image to the free section which can provide significant portfolio exposure and increase your sales; images can be disabled at any time later. - keep the image online (default action).
In order to review the images and take the desired action, please access the link below. If no action is taken, the default one is automatically selected.
Review the images:" (URL that doesn't show anything now) I haven't received any of these new notifications, but if I do, I'll write to DT support to request they implement a preference to let me delete such files. I looked at the legal agreements as I'd have thought they couldn't just give files away without a contributor's permission. I don't see any wording that would allow that: https://www.dreamstime.com/terms

...I got one on Adobe for $26.40 today - not close to $100 but better than the usual 99 cents to a few dollars per download....
I think that's the royalty on a full price extended license. They are good to get, absolutely, but in a different category from standard licenses. It's unfortunate that the labels on royalties are so vague. Earlier this month I received two $13.20 custom royalties - I suspect those were for extended licenses at a very cut rate. Extended license sales are less frequent as the license terms for standard have become more generous. In March there was a royalty of $21.12 which I think was a reduced price extended license.

In general, Adobe Stock has been doing well for me, but I have been keeping an eye on the values of custom sales. Initially I was on the lookout for sub-38 amounts - and there have only been a tiny handful at 33.
What I have noticed is the steady downward trend in the last couple of months of the over $1 custom sales. This composite screenshot is of each "first of its value" royalty - in other words there have been many more at each value, but looking at the dates and amounts over just the last two months shows the trend. From $1.36 down to $1.25
Edited May 10 to note that the custom sales have been inching back upwards in the last month. Today saw a couple at $1.34; last week some at $1.33 & $1.32; the week before that $1.31, and before that $1.28. To top it off there was only one at 33 in the last month.
Nice to see a positive (for the contributor) trend!

...Is this valid license? What if SS gets in game later, and has a way of knowing it was Their original download that was stolen....
I think the license from DT is valid, regardless of where the original download came from, assuming DT has the image in their collection (which they would have to for this even to occur). The ex-infringer, now DT customer, can tell anyone questioning their use that they have a valid license from DT to use the image. Which they do. And given that SS can't be bothered to pursue thefts when we point them out to them (until nagged and hassled via social media), I doubt this will occur in practice. If it doesn't make their stock price go up, SS will pay no attention

I hadn't seen that. There's a little more on the topic in this article and if the whole thing can be automated (including a person replying that they licensed the image from XYZ agency) then possibly this might work reasonably well? If the contributor is notified (again automatic process would be ideal) that the alleged infringer claims they licensed the image from ABC agency, it would also allow for liars to be outed too. If DT got an answer about one of my images there that the alleged infringer licensed the image from Deposit Photos, I could easily identify that as false as I've never submitted there. Not all images are at all agencies for various reasons, and sometimes there might be zero downloads from the agency an infringer claimed they licensed it from. Worth a try anyway, IMO https://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2022/04/05/dreamstime-launches-licenseguard-to-track-copyright-infringements/BTW, love the name of this publication

Today I had my first image rejection at Pond5... ....Anyone else got this too?
I haven't, but that's because I don't upload to Pond5 any more - they can't sell photos I know the photos they can't sell are saleable because Adobe Stock does just fine. Lots of promises from them in 2020, but absolutely nothing in the end

On February 14, I received an email confirming that my account would be deleted within the next 45 days.
I can no longer log in. I have not received my money either. Also a message about the completed deletion of my account has not been received.
I am in the process of deleting my Alamy account, and although my public profile was removed around the 45 day mark, I can still log in to the contributor dashboard. I have had several sales show up since the deletion - but as everything is billed long after the use, that isn't out of line (for Alamy). I got paid this month for the current cleared balance, but there are more sales that haven't cleared yet, so I'm assuming my contributor account will stay active until the final payment (whenever that happens). If I were you, I'd write to Alamy and ask what is going on with your final sales and balance.

The algorithm apparently changed a huge deal today, at least for me. My older files from the Fotolia times are keyworded in German, the newer ones in English. Now when I search for something, the translation doesn't work anymore. It means that my older, all times best sellers are not even considered by the search when the buyer uses an English keyword. This wans't the case until yesterday, because I happened to check something and it worked fine. Now even if I sort by downloads, any best seller with thousands of DLs is just not there. Can anybody run some tests and confirm this? Mat from Adobe, can you help please? I really hope something is temporarily wrong and this is not intentional. Thanks.
So you upload your photos on a American stocksite and you decide (because you are given the option to do so) to keyword in the German language. That was a fault to begin with. Always use English keywords and place native words if that would help sales in your own country or other ones (with their specific words).
A contributor reports a site problem and you decide to dump on (and lecture) him for doing something that Fotolia encouraged at the time - how is that helpful or informative, let alone kind? At the time (Fotolia started in 2005) it was a leader in delivering content to buyers with sites in their own language where payments could be made in local currency. Fotolia let buyers search in their native language and contributors submit in theirs and the site handled all the translations. It was innovative (and then copied by all the other sites). It wasn't a "fault" for contributors to support them in doing what they asked. You really don't know what you're talking about.

Good month here. Second best February ever, better than the last 2 years, RPD $1.18 (excluding Connect)
Could you please explain what you mean by Connect?
No, because I don't fully understand it. It's some sort of pay-per-view deal iS has with some buyers.
This is a bit of a puff piece, but it outlines what Getty was hoping to do with Connect. https://www.fastcompany.com/1817835/connect-getty-images-leaps-21st-century

Thanks for pointing these bizarre portfolios out - I say bizarre as they're such a mixture of styles and subjects it beggars belief that these came from one person. And for bosphorus_tr, we have such glories as "Marry Chrismas" on a seasonal image and "Election Day - The third of the November -" (and it was in 2020 that it was November 3rd). There are white gaps on the edges of some of the composites; squished birds; sideways clouds - even if this stuff wasn't stolen, lots of it should never have been accepted!
I didn't find anything of mine, but did you report the ones of yours to Shutterstock compliance?

I read that yesterday and agree with a lot of what was said. I don't use an iPhone 13, although I seriously considered switching back (I have a Pixel which has a great camera as long as you turn off the "portrait" and skin smoothing features which produce cr*p, IMO).
I have really enjoyed the night sight capabilities to handle very low light situations, but just about everything else, particularly the fakery around bokeh, is ersatz junk. As long as you can turn that off if you want to, I'd be fine.

The pricing section is definitely worth a read for all those who derive significant income from Pond5 (which wouldn't include me as they seem largely unable to license photos) "... we will have sole discretion to adjust the price of any Content to maximize your overall revenue performance or comply with our minimum pricing guidelines" "we will have discretion to offer flexible subscription plans and/or discounts, at prices determined solely by us, in connection with special promotions or to optimize total revenue on your behalf by targeting customers who we believe will make high volume purchases or commitments with short duration, digital/social formats, small audience, ad-supported models and/or other needs to which we will offer more narrow license rights or collections of limited content for materially reduced pricing" "... we will have discretion to ... (B) ... set the price of Content and/or agree to compensation structures in an effort to maximize overall sales of Content and revenue to our contributors and license Content to customers as part of a pool of works, in which case, we will have sole discretion to allocate the amounts paid by the customer among Content and the other works licensed to the customer on a basis that we in our sole good faith discretion determine is fair..." They still have their price match clause (they'll lower the Pond5 price if the item is licensed for less elsewhere), but how on earth is a contributor to know what their work is licensed for anywhere given how many agencies are offering all sorts of side deals, special discounts and other terms we have no control over - and often no knowledge of. I await with bated breath Pond5 reducing the Pond5 nominal price when price matching with one of their own "special promotions"

I got paid yesterday (PayPal, USA) but I went to look at that display on my account and it said "Payment done".
I've never looked at that payment history before, so I don't know if your display "normal" or not. I did note that the date for the payment was February 28 - when I requested it - not March 9, the day the PayPal payment was made.

English is not my mother language but my question was clear, I think. I see the description. I just do not understand what 16-500 or 40-500 mean. Therefore, I wil have to repeat. Can someone please tell me what will I earn per video in the above cases?
As I read this (and I am a native English speaker), I think you would receive $22.40 per HD video if someone bought a 500-credit pack, $28.00 if they bought a 16-credit pack. The amounts would vary between those extremes if someone bought (for example) a 200-credit pack. Same thing for 4K video. You'd earn $70 per video if they bought a 40-credit pack and $56 per video if they bought a 500-credit pack. Varying amounts per video for the in-between pack sizes. Does that make it more clear (and Mat can correct me if even a native speaker doesn't interpret the page correctly!!)?

...On a personal note, it's more viable to only upload photos for a minimum of 0.33. Unless photos sales also take the road to the subscription plan...
There is no such minimum for photo royalties any more. There used to be a floor of .33, .36 or .38 cents (depending on your lifetime earnings) but that went away with the introduction of the Creative Cloud Express plan https://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/announcing-adobe-creative-cloud-express/I license photos and used to have a 38 cent minimum, but now have seen amounts as low as 33 cents from "custom" royalties. I have also been tracking my RPD over time (with my own spreadsheets as there are virtually no stats offered to contributors via Adobe Stock) and unsurprisingly it's been heading downward. For Q1 2020, 2021 and 2022 (so far) the RPDs are $1.03, $0.90 and $0.77 Contributors across the board and across media types are being squeezed. It sucks.

Pond5 sent email this morning about their steps to support their ~8,000 "Ukraine-based" contributors: https://link.pond5.com/view/561817e318ff43206f8b5fadg1dp3.1ebt/8a7ee87dIn other news, DepositPhotos' collections (links in the original post) have grown - there are really heart-wrenching images and videos from as recently as March 6th. I don't have anything official, but a member of the stock coalition posted this (I assume email) he received from Shutterstock: "To our valued contributors, We are heartbroken as we watch the escalating war in Ukraine and hope that you and your loved ones are safe. For me, the injustice and suffering caused by this war is personal. I was born and raised in Ukraine until the age of seven, and I feel a deep connection with all of you, our Ukrainian community. Shutterstock recognizes the emotional and financial impact that the war is having on so many, and we want to help. To support our community, we will be sending an additional payout to our Ukrainian contributors this month of $250. The payout of these funds will shortly follow the normal March payout. Please note these funds will be distributed to all Ukrainian contributors that are already receiving a payout this month. Thank you for being such a valued part of our community, and we wish you continued safety and health. Sincerely, Stan Pavlovsky CEO, Shutterstock"

Dreamstime are giving Ukrainian artists 100% royalties:
https://www.dreamstime.com/blog/protect-ukraine-57556
Cant do better than that!
I didn't know they'd done that (although I did see the Ukrainian-colors heart on their logo on the site). Good for them - it's the second time they've offered additional support to contributors (the Covid-19 uplift in royalties was the first). Shutterstock could follow Dreamstime's lead, and given the higher volume of sales, that would likely provide even more cash in hand to Ukrainian contributors...

Shutterstock says it's making a direct donation to Ukrainian contributors: https://investor.shutterstock.com/news-releases/news-release-details/shutterstock-stands-support-ukraine-immediate-donationNot clear to me exactly how they will implement this offer, but the press release says: "... by making an immediate donation of $1 million to provide direct assistance to Shutterstock's thousands of contributing photographers, videographers, 3D artists, illustrators and musicians in Ukraine.." If anyone who might be eligible for this assistance knows more about how Shutterstock is distributing this assistance, it'd be good to hear - and possibly useful to others who might want to receive assistance but don't know how.
