Nice!
Is there a way to split apart video and photo sales in the insights page? I'm not seeing a way.
Any rewards for After Effects Templates creators?

Right. I thought the whole point was to cut out the middleman ( even though theyre still the middleman, lol).

I think that judgement is fair. Photo was found on flickr, with no option to buy, and they took it down as soon as photographer warned them. It would cost them only a few dollars to buy the image, if they knew that's what needs to be done. Photographer would get his 25 cents for it. I wonder why people put photos on flickr and similar "show only" sites and then cry if image "borrowed"?
Yeah, I went into a museum. There wasn't pricing on anything, so I just took a painting. I figured I'd give it back if they asked.

Why would a Canadian have to worry about all that? I dont file Canadian taxes.
I also only pay temp help as contractors and just need a 1099 if it goes over $600 a year.

I'm trying to find a good rm agency. I'm really drawn into Blend (or SuperStock)
I read on this forum that you need to have "diverse/ethnic" images to get into Blend but I don't always see this in the search results.
Do they only want ethnic images?
Blend just closed not too long ago, so I dont think anyone is selling much.

Is it me, or is the admin page with the links to sales, payments and portfolio missing?
no problems here. Sometimes my bookmarked page resets to the personal account, then if I try to go to sales by typing the https://www.canva.com/sales link, I get the "Forbidden (403) Sorry, you cannot access this page" message. Then I have to switch to the administrative account manually, and it starts working again.
That's all true, but I'm pretty sure there was an "admin" tab with these links, and now they're under "contributor".

You now have to click on the contributors tab from the Account settings link - but there is a glitch there as they have two View payments links. The top one is for the current months sales the bottom one is for the payment details.
Ah yes, there they are. They just need to change the text for the sales link.

I have over 10.000 model released images and I would NEVER supply an agency that would not have the defamatory exception in the model release.
Again, the model release is between you and the model. The agency has a license between them and the buyer. Don't get the things mixed up. I said the release is irrelevant because the end usage is only subject to the terms of the license.

Note that your model release is irrelevant here. Its the terms of the license that apply. Your release is between you and the model, so youd better be working with agencies that support that.

i love to hear about 15%. Iam ready to start on Wemark and kick ass the 75% greedy Agencies
@Wemark But how should i handle the EU-VAT if there is no middleman?
Theres a middleman. Wemark. Beacause they host it and take a cut. That equals middleman.

Hi A friend of mine wants to buy the rights to one of my photos. I am on several stock sites but the one he wants to buy is not on any of the sites, but the photo is similar. For example, if I have several images of Cabo San Lucas, and the one he wants is of the same place, same location, but not exact, am I violating any agreements with the agencies (assuming most contracts are the same).
Any suggestions, Thanks, Trish
If you're not promising exclusivity, this has nothing to do with your other photos.

Are you talking about here? Have you noticed the little links in most peoples signatures?

I can sometimes make $800-$1000 a (week)day with 10,000+ clips, but $200-$400 per day is more likely for me.
February, 2018 was my BME, averaging $5,000 per week during that month.
So, it can be achievable with hard work.
I would take anonymous posters with seven post history comments with a grain of salt. eta: eight posts

I thought you were kidding. I have more than 10k files and make nowhere near that. Nowhere.
Thats impressive. Can you share your portfoolio? Very interesting to have a look. And what sites do you use? of course there are not only one of them.
regards
No, sorry. I'm very secretive. You'll never know who I am.

What he said is true. We have voted to remove the membership cap. We will still have the same standards during the "call to artists" as previously and be looking for new members that compliment or add uniqueness to the collection. They're revamping the "call to artists" process a bit as well, and the plan is for applications to be reviewed much faster, as they realize the long waits were not the best experience. I've also expressed the need for a more in depth "what we're looking for" description.
I don't know if they're going to go back and re-review previous applications or whether you'd need to apply again.

Poor.
SS continues to drop. FT/Adobe and Canva holding steady. DP and DT trickle. Zero on GL.

will be amazed if we get 30% of the actual sale price, more like 30% of the royalty paid from Getty to 500px I would imagine?
Absolutely. Nobody is going to be getting 30% of the sales. It will be 30% of 500pxs negotiated cut, so 30% of 25% (or whatever they negotiate), so maybe %8 of the sales price? Can you cut $.02 into that small a piece? Lol.

I have the same issue of sales on an image that is no longer available for sale.
I emailed to ask how this was happening a few weeks back, but haven't received any kind of response.
An image that was used in a design mock up will always be available to license, even if pulled from the collection/search, is my understanding.
