between Scan and Panther.. go to Panther (some nice sales time to time) but the submission process sucks..
I have around 1000 pictures at Scan and 12 sales.. about a year! (maybe should upload more to there..) mainly get into the top 8, see what works best for you 6553

like I have said it is impossible that 4k new contributors went exclusives with just 2 months.. so the % is not accurate, it might be but like in 6 months or so 6558
iStockPhoto.com / Re: I TOTALLY see why this is VETTA« on: November 15, 2010, 20:42 »statsWhat I read from these stats is that the number of contributors (exclusives as well as non-exclusives), the number of files online and the sales have been growing. read that also ![]() 6559

Will be interesting to see what those stats look like come mid January or so. that's not true Lisa.. there are 4k of new contributors, those couldnt never be exclusive.. So the percentage couldn't increase., obvious went down link http://www.microstockgroup.com/istockphoto-com/not-another-istock-topic-aka-response-from-the-bosses/ 6561

there must be a mistake on that picture, all pictures were reviewed time ago and contributors were notified that "isolated" keyword had been removed if there was a shadown in it

I agree with your statement but actually every contributor have is own plan regarding expenses, earnings, whatever.. when we see something positive we gotta keep giving and working, not giving up just to let previous contributors happy or so, if agencies keep approving that's their own business, we cannot do nothing, I guess we could.. UPLOAD!
I won't stop just to let "previous/big/whatever" contributors stay happy! 6568

Photo Critique / Re: Would any of these make it?« on: November 11, 2010, 23:27 »
how about this:
open an agency, could be perhaps fotolia, type a subject (people, isolation, travel, animals, whatever).. now look at that "stock photos", now do a few similar just for practicing, don't think I cannot do better than those just DO them (think as hobby), I can tell you that a big % of my work is worst.. with time you will do better for sure (composition, lighting, camera settings) What can I tell you more? When I started (year and half ago..) I bought my first SLR without thinking of stock, it was an old dream of mine, always wanted to have something big LOL from which I would take awesome pictures (sometimes I feel I do) This means I have no background in photography, no books, no nothing.. Ok a few time reading here and there but I haven't got a single book, not saying this is a good thing, it just my way, keeping expenses low in all aspects The main reason is that everything is possible, I won't be rich or be called stock photographer soon lol but I can still have a few sales around the world ![]() I started at FT (it is a hard agency but got no "entry exam", upload, get rejections, improve and do it on your own, I just bumped into forums few time ago, guess that helped me out!) 6572
Shutterstock.com / Re: New contributor section live on SS - SORRY - IT'S STILL BETA... :(« on: November 11, 2010, 18:49 »
I really think that SS can take a step forward and do something BIG.. what is it?
I would say pick everything from contributors and make them.. then we would have a DESIGN settings (whatever) where we would pick the stuff that we really want to see on the home submitter page.. we could also place this "selected options" where we like most, doing our own design.. 6573
