Working on that most clips are 1080 so you can use the software of your choice for stabilizing down to 720. Thanks for the advice I will look into that more. Advice much appreciated!

Good points I was wondering if microstock was the best place. I do have some in Vetta and they will be on Getty. Will be interesting to see.

OP - Is it worth it to pay for this kind of niche? or to do this for any niche

This is not confidential stuff, there are only certain times a solider can film so this is all in the clear. The military is paid for by tax dollars and you will see lots of military clips on stock sites. Most of this collection is already online as I have all the releases I need

There is a little pimp video here but I am trying something new. I buy the camera for this footage train the shooter then then pay for the clips full property release. It dose not come cheap! so I was wondering if you thought it is worth it. I know time will tell but I have consider this for other subjects.

Dose your sales include Getty? It seems to me for the amount of work you put in you are no better off.

While I can not compare myself to his talent this warms my soul to think the community would reach out to my family if something happened to me!

Sad news and terrible time of year for them. Heart felt prayers for the family. May this be a reminder how important it is to love while you live.

This info is nothing new and I agree with Sean on some useless points. Bottom line go out and shoot people focus on quality and be diverse. Uhhh same info as any other year. PS it's ok if you like some of your images :-)

With action all you can do is spray and pray. I don't understand why he used such a slow camera with a 1 sec. delay to shoot this.

I do well at iStock especially with the Getty Connection. I think you would be wise to load to IS even if it is a pain as it still drives a lot of sales. I agree it has a lot of issues but to not load at all there I feel would be a mistake. Of course I am exclusive so that dose make a difference.

ShutterStock is a great company! they treat people with respect and have a great website. I have spoken to them on the phone and can vouch for all that was stated above!

While missing stats is annoying I only really care what I earn each week and I can see that. I do like the changes iStock has made this year. Carry on now

1080 at 30p You can always go from 30p to 24p but not the other way around! I have pushed my ISO to 3200 and down resized the files to 720p and it get accepted every time. Use good glass and learn to nail focus because on a full frame it can be tricky.

I guess I would like to know what you all think of the "time" factor. Is spreading out your work worth the time or is being exclusive and having more time to shoot instead of load and keyword a better road.

True enough but I have to decided if I want to spend more time shooting or loading and keywording
