even better "do a barrel roll"
I never considered a barrel roll of a cruise ship. Easy enough on many plane types, but a cruise ship? That would have made him truly legendary.

There's a Captain Francesco Schettino without a boat at the present time who might fill in.

It's never about one big move. It's always encroachment. Any single move is just tolerable for most of the contributors or there no viable alternatives. If everything that has happened in the past 2 years came down at once, I do think most would leave but that isn't the case. It won't be the case when you take 20%.

History shows that most people will keep taking whatever they are handed no matter how bad the situation.

They must have let some more tech guys go cause I just got this for a log in;
"The glitch monsters are at work down in the dark internety room, but they sent a note up that said: Dear You, Me fix broken thing. Sorry for trouble. Love, Monsters.
They, and the site, will be back up soon. In the meantime, wed like to offer you 10% off your next purchase of 50 or more iStock credits using the coupon code below."

I wonder if those laid off received some type of "golden parachute" offer of a bonus to not trash-talk iS in return?
It's usually not wise to trash talk the company you just got canned from if you want to work in the same industry.

It's probably been mentioned before but he does have a fitting avatar. Perhaps he could adopt a new one where if you look at from one angle it's a closed hand as viewed from the front but as you change angles the middle finger flips up at you.

Bravo for the file sold :-)
I have a question : how do you sell your files on alamy ? On the select menu when submitting your image, do you choose royalty free or right managed ?...
thanks
I sell both ways, but the image in question was an RF image.

Looks like your buyer only needed one image of a doggie bag dispenser box. Wish they'd purchased mine, too! LOL
Watch the doggie bad dispenser image collection jump by several thousand now

[...there's no accounting for taste I guess
I don't think it's taste so much (although it is an image only a mother would love), it's more need than anything else at play.

Alamy is well known for their huge collection of oddball editorial images and if the there is a collection that is diametrically opposed to micro images it is these. I've sold some weird images but yesterday takes the cake, I made a sale for $230.41 for a doggie bag dispensing box. If I asked any of you esteemed pundits what you thought of this image, even the politest of you would have laughed me off the stage.

There are some large grey (haha get it?) areas when it comes to defining a persons age by keyword but 45 is not a senior regardless of what they look like.

I'm in that age bracket too. I prefer 'age of perfection' and 'sexy-pants', but hey-ho, each to their own.
Both great names,. Myself I like "in denial"

3. Move IS from Canada to a country with higher working and business etiquette. (USA or germany maybe).
Of course you realize Canada is one of the few countries not caught up with all the global banking fiascos and that the problems at iStock only began AFTER they sold out to the band of thieves from the US? NO? Of course not.

So the business is relocated, this should have no effect on us. But I wonder what were the reasons behind this move.

Barter works well enough when both parties need each others service. Nothing wrong with it. It's debatable whether you know the value of someone else's work anyway.
