@Luis:
whereever possible I try to deactive Extended Licenses because I feel that they are priced too low at many microstock agencies. Combined with the fact that I mostly do people shoots the risk of finding an image in use where me or the model wouldn't like the deal is higher. I can live well without ELs... :-)
P.S. I already had your blog in my RSS reader...
Oh? fotorob, why is Ext Lic ofr people not good idea? Pls explain. TY

Nobody should take this as an attack or critique or whatever, but why all these posters having grunges against DT and its acceptance policy are anonymous? What is their weight in portfolio size and experience?
For the record, I don't have any problem with similars at DT. Why? Because I just upload the best concepts of a shoot. The only reject I had lately was because I made a composite of two similar poses, and the reviewer asked me to upload them separately. Quite the opposite. Next to iStock (that is very strict on technical quality), DT has the most reliable and steady reviewers, in my experience.
It's also very difficult to comment about rejections when the images are not shown.
hehe - i showed a picture in my initial post but then i got taught by cclapper i should not post (pimp) my pics here. so i took it away... at present i got 754 pics online and 13 in the queue (1 for 20 days and 2 for 19 days now). acceptance ratio is 83.8%
DT is slow reviewing, but never had a photo waiting that long, a week tops.. rejections are average/understandable, 60% approval

Veer is having problems retrieving IPTC data, more precisely description, anybody?? Yes, very inconvenient. I had to cut and paste all the 700. Took me 3 days work. Are you using the Core IPTC scheme like in Irfanview? They probably only implemented the Adobe scheme. If I reach my 400, I will put more time in it (I have 400 "to edit"). If not, not. Unless they start to sell like hell of course. Let's see.
Yes I am, I submitted them dont care

Signed up early june: Your application is waiting to be reviewed. If it takes that long to review a couple of files it doesn't sound very promissing for the submissions we all will upload once we get approved.
you arent alone

is it finished? pretty weak for 800 pics! PP from IS is giving 6x more
I thought Thinkstock and iStock's PP were one and the same. When you opt into the PP program, what exactly are you opting into?
if you opt into the PP program at IS, then pictures are sold at TS as "iStockPhoto" and at photos.com*; although photos.com is now part of TS as well!
if you opt into the PP program at StockXpert, then pictures are sold at TS only as "Hemera"
furthermore, TS gets photos from a lot of other sources (mainly other Getty collections)
*see here: http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=88699
exactly!

Agree. Earnings are lower than expected for me as well.
And especially low compared to IS partner program earnings (from May, as they didn't post June earnings yet) Maybe earnings at IS are from other partner sites, not from TS?
Good news for those who were accusing us of damaging the whole microstock industry by opting in to TS
yep Hemera is doing much much lower.. IS are a lot from photos.com

for some reason I dont have a problem with rejects on 123. had 12 rejected because I forgot the model release apart from that I've had 2 rejected in the last 50+. My sales for may and june were only about 65-70% of previous months.
Sales are normal, just got this/the second time huge rejections..

take it easy... with minor sites it's not worth resubmitting or even checking if they accepted or rejected files, provide they accept most of them
upload all you can and let their random selection create a unique portfolio - slightly different at each site
then forget and wait for sales
I am doing that since my start at microstock.. just got these crazy reviews lately..

123RF is getting better everyday! now I have received an email telling me what I should shoot or not based on what I am selling there.. LOLOL it is just NUTS!!... and also sending me links from other agencies, photos from a month ago showing me that I dont have downloads there eheheh crazy no?? now they are checking other agencies!.. just SS sells photos that fast

In June 123RF rejected 19 out of 49 vectors I submitted there. All 19 of those were accepted by SS, DT, FT, et al. So I have stopped submitting at 123RF for the time being.
at least I am not alone

I send files to Cutcaster that have gotten accepted by other agencies-- agencies that do far more business each day than probably Cutcaster could ever hope for in a year... and yet they get rejected by Cutcaster for "poor lighting" or "over filtered".
Is Cutcaster even worth bothering with or should I just blow them off altogether??
Has anyone had any consistent sales with them??
Cricket
nah

this is the second time on 123RF I am thinking if it is worth losing time giving them the link from SS or other agencies, why dont they do their job and review properly??
Just because images have been accepted on one site doesn't mean they should automatically be accepted on another. Every site has different standards.
LOL should I answer or just ignore??.. from 70 pictures, got like 60 approved at SS and 50 at FT.. So I guess they are nice to most agencies, just IS maybe half of that..
