Problem is Pond5 is months behind on inspections! trust me I have called them. I was banking on SS-Pond5-IS-Getty to be enough but it hasn't worked that way and I don't want to spend my savings while I try to get my clips online.

Ditch the RC system and iStock will scream!

I think it's the image thumb nails that are slowing iStock down. A buyer should be able to purchase from the images description.

Of course and not a a big deal it's just silly.

I swear they are just looking at the features at ShutterStock and saying, if they don't have them we don't need them either. Probably very true but the 5 min upload delay is just a pain and not a feature at SS. IStock can now say "we offer a five minute delay on uploads to give you time to pick your nose and prepare keywords, no other site dose this for you in the industry!" Just kidding of course but I truly hope real progress is made from this.

Simple really, opening offices in other countries instead of closing them. Actively looking for new buyers while your collection grows. Keeping up with mobile technology for your media and buyers. Keep a stable price while offering higher end collections like offset. Use the KISS principle for the buying public.

I am on Android can you do it for Android?

Yes I am a nerd but I would like the app to check my balance every 20min in the background and then give me a audio notification if the balance has changed. I love how I can get the cha ching on the livestock app where there is a sale. Thanks

First I want to thank Scott and Shutterstock for coming into these forums! Keep in mind they don't have to! I think it very wise that they try and communicate with us here. I love the pizza images and find that very useful in explaining the difference between SS main and OFFSET, Than-you for that.

I still have my crown :-) my Clapper will be gone on Oct.11 As far as I know video's that are at Getty will remain there even after you drop exclusivity. You will drop from 25% to 20% on Getty earnings. Of course I say this tongue in cheek as they can change and do to you whatever they want so nothing is guaranteed! I a still not thrilled with the sub prices at SS so I will keep my photos exclusive at IS for a while as photos are not my main focus. I am thrilled to be offering my full medical collection at SS and Pond5 in October, all of my clips are already loaded, keyworded and approved so all I have to do is flip the switch when my 30 days are up.

I have been faithfully exclusive since 2007 for video and I was set to drop an RC level this year because of such low video sales.

It looks like my earnings for Sept. will be the same as Jan. of this year or lower! Now I am speaking of the video side. That is going over the cliff for me so I dropped my exclusivity! actually feel a sense of relief. SS keeps advertising and pushing into new markets as I hear them on the podcast I listen to a lot. iStock keeps messing with their site in hopes that will bring the buyers back. I have no respect for Getty management! they have proven that they have no respect for the artist. When they say if you are video exclusive that all your files go over to Getty that is not true! All of my files are not at Getty and just a handful from my latest submissions are there! For video iStock is now a graveyard. All these very talented artist have left. morganl, eyeidea, jamesb, RyanWalters, Multifocus ....and the list goes on. I never thought I would see this day with iStock but then again they are not the first company to wreck a good thing! I don't see a recovery in sight for them so if you are upset then look for new markets and ways to make money. While stock is the bulk of my income I do a lot of other photo/video work which is now making up more and more of my income. To stay alive as an artist you have to adapt, I am on plan B now and I have a plan C as well. Don't let a company suck the joy and life out of you! Your the artist and your work is worth more!

Even though I am not near as big as these guys I am happy to be joining them on SS in a few more days! Trust me when I say this is a big deal to have this many talented video artist on SS! I am happy they are there as it also helps the rest of us sell more, especially my medical clips!

You know I am not an artist there but "Stocksy" treats the artist the best and has some amazing work, give it a look. iStock Exclusives get paid better and the collection is deeper.
