E-620 is semi pro entry level SLR, but with some professional "opportunities" (image stabilization, anti dust sytem etc.) Olympus gives excellent optics in kit offer, 14-42mm is very sharp, 40-150mm is also very good but not as 14-42mm... Because smaller sensor you will have more noise on higher ISO but ISO 100 or 200, even 400 is enough good for microstock... So, you will have sharp images but you have to shoot with good light conditions... I heard that Canon is not so good with cheaper optics as Olympus....

I think quite opposite! Non-exclusivity is future! Because erratic decisions of stock agencies "don't put all eggs in the same basket" becomes very live command for every contributor....
P.S. Put "treasure chest" in IS "best match" search engine and you will see my photo on third place (of 60 pages) without crown or/and flame... Istock gets more money from me than from any exclusive contributor, so if buyers love some image , it doesn't matter whose property is....

I think this work must be seen as a return on equity, not as a return on work!
Exactly!!!
I do not know whether you agree with me or not (because of the laughing smiley), but as you said something similar in your previous post... We can't take most of our usual jobs into hospital room, but our portfolio can be very close with stock (shares) portfolio which gives a good dividend every month... That was veeery similar to capital not to work... Of course, the work creates equity like any other work or bussines ... So our pictures are our capital as a consequence of the work in past, and will be paid in the future... Sorry on my English, I hope you understand me...

How is possible that Alamy don't track automatically their sales? I don't understand point of "self reporting" system for buyers?

The word poppet is an older spelling of puppet, from the Middle English popet, meaning a small child or doll. In British Dialect it continues to hold this meaning. Poppet is also a chiefly English term of endearment.

borg,
Good to know! The help page doesn't explain it, but their answer does.
Now, if I can nonly find the correct explanation at IRS.gov to show Zazzle...
Yep! It seems that you are doing their job... Serious company indeed!

Madelaide! I asked their support, here is the answer: Hi Sinisa, Thanks for contacting SmugMug. We don't collect sales tax on international orders. This help page explains how to get paid after you have made some sales: http://www.smugmug.com/help/reporting I hope this has helped. If you have any questions, please let us know.
All the best, Shay, SmugMug Support Hero

Few moments ago I sold one of my photos, large size, I got 2,5$ ... So: 2,5$=16% 2,5/16=0,156*100=15,60$ The buyer bought it for $ 15.60, and I earned $ 2.5 ... Excellent! It's time for own marketing...

you can have a look at my review of Smugmug on my blog:http://microstockexperiment.blogspot.com/2009/12/setting-up-your-on-line-microstock.html
What is with taxes there? Do I need to fill tax form from IRS there or they have their own on-line form like DT,SS etc.? I am non-US based...
