Im still seeingthe opposite. Up until June AS was growing every month and reached just over half SS earnings. Then June 17th they changed something,my earnings here dropped 40% or so and havent increased or changed since whereas SS remains stable.
Same here... AS have been beyond poor this month. The only saving grace is SS has more than taken up the slack, not sure what to think of AS, 4 of the last 5 weeks have all been the same $ earnings... literally within 1% of each other, looks like a straight line on the graph.
Something happened. Graph shows an immediate, sudden drop to a new "low" after a specific date to me. Since then its failed to grow at all but SS is creeping up.

Since a few month i upload also video to Shutterstock My latest 4 videos were rejected for Focus: Subject is not in focus or focus is too soft, inconsistent, or rack focus is not executed well.
If i played the video, the video looked sharp. I don't understand what's wrong Without seeing the video nobody can judge focus or not. My images were the last few years never rejected for focus.
Thats possibly because the last 3 years Shutterstock stopped applying ANY technical checks to images at all and just blindly started accepting everything. The last 10 days or so they APPEAR to be reapplying rules which have already existed. Reviewers do sometimes get it wrong though but again, without seeing the image at 100% its impossible for any neutral 3rd party to judge.

Ive got exactly the same, "this code has expired".
Its (i) under 12 months old and (ii) the email says July 2021.
Ive emailed support (i guess everyone else has too)
EDIT:- Very speedy response from support. They've requested a new code.

For me something changed suddenly on the week of June 17th and income has dropped ever since.
Its fairly clear on the graph when something changed and the average dropped suddenly. What seems to be the case is actual download *number* are constant or increasing but the actual earnings have dropped severely.
The big spikes after that are occasional video sales. (The bizarre february bit is when they overpaid then adjusted so leaving a negative week)

. I submit stuff now that I wouldn't have dreamt of sending a few years back.
Same. Im way less selective than i used to be and am forced to upload more similars/variations than i would before purely so i dont get buried immediately in the search. Id rather not have to do this for time, effort, storage and bandwidth reasons! From comments I read here on msg back in the day, I don't think consistency was ever their strong suit. There were issues for sure but its a lot better than now where anything and everything is fine. You did get whole batch rejections for random reasons at times etc but nothing a resubmit often wouldnt fix.

Its causing a meltdown on their forum from people who werent on SS in the days they actually had standards who are now faced with the terrifying thought of having to spend some time and extra effort selecting and editing only their best photos (and who cant grow the library exponentially any more).
I really dont see this is a bad thing at all - i'd love them to reintroduce technical checks for photos and similars. All i ask is they do it with a degree of consistency.

The first one says published Last published: 2018 August 9
The second link is published August 2019.
So i assume the first one applies to the codes issued in 2018?
Clarification would be helpful.

I thought last years codes had no expiry? You could use one after the other if you had both?
Edit:- Scrap that. I found the FAQ. 12 months. Glad i saw that, im using the LR one and the all apps expires Sept1 so i need to use it before then.

True wackamole style. New one pops up as soon as another gets wacked!
...and promptly passes quality control review and images go live. THAT to me is the most frustrating part. Its not the thieves themselves, its the system that SS has created that allows them to get these large scale stolen images on sale in the first place.

Heres another profile:- https://www.shutterstock.com/g/patrick+littlesIts most likely the same group. Travel a lot, all editorial, illiterate captions that have no relevance to the images. So far images on there are stolen from Getty, Universal studios, a few glamour collections and even some from personal blogs and trip reports. SS yet again pathetic in its lack of reviewing and verification. Given how much Getty love to lawyer up you have to wonder how long it'll be for them to have large scale selling of their images by a competitor before they choose to act.

Just to give SS a change ive emailed them with details as well so they cant claim they're unaware.
Im fairly sure its the same people/group as the last one. This one travels a lot like the other one. The old one had done a pacific island (Marshalls), this one has done Iwa Jima. Both have images from Tel Aviv. Both have images from Kenya.
This guy has also been to Jordan though.

This one is great, "man plays golf" stolen from Getty and so on.
The captions are pretty identical to the marshall islands nuclear attack editorial guy. Possibly the same image-theft farm (or the same person)?
Some high profile celebs with agents and high profile agencies stolen this time round. Maybe some good, hard legal action might persuade SS to actually quality control and audit reviews.
Ive posted it on their forum so i suspect (i) to get banned and (ii) the thread to get deleted soon.

Something odd happened on the week of June 17th to me on here.
Prior to that it was growing every month and has done consistently. Suddenly on that June 17th week income dropped by 40% or so on the rolling average and has been fairly stable at that now low level every week since. My download *numbers* have stayed pretty constant but the earnings have dropped significantly and instantly since that date.
(and yes, i am still uploading).
Oddly SS has been growing the last month or 2 which surprised me somewhat.

Ok, you missed the point...Im not happy about it...
Ah, fair enough.
Does anyone have the info about what the SS deal is, ie how they calculate how much you'll get?
I asked that on the SS forum but no response as of you.
