Someone else received a similar message and restriction. You'll see their detailed message in the thread titled "?Images in a series ... good idea?"

iStockPhoto.com / Re: December 2019 Royalty Stats report« on: December 20, 2019, 11:54 »Just curious ... where are you all getting your latest statments? Mine is not in my email, not on DeepMeta and not on the ESP/Getty site. It's about 11:30am EST Friday. Thanks. I never received even the wrong statement. Guess I'm lucky. Gee, I wonder who got mine.... hmmm. 80

iStockPhoto.com / Re: images in a series - good idea?« on: November 16, 2019, 15:57 »I am a little late with my answer, but well... be careful with series if there are too many images in one series. Wow, that's a little scary. I appreciate your sending this along to me. Hope you are able to get that limit taken off soon! 84

Thanks for the comment. Good thoughts.
Also, about the possible slight advantage for newer images. I've been wondering why newer images often sell right off the bat. That may be the answer. I'd been thinking that a lot of people must be searching by "Newest" -- possibly to find images that have not been used much. Anyway, that algorithm IS a puzzlement ... trying to figure it out is an ongoing challenge. 86

Just curious if it's a good idea to upload similar images at the same time ... are your other images in the series more likely to be found?
The reason I ask is I just discovered that there is a keyword "in a series" - I had never discovered it before ....... so I've been adding it to groups of similar images. Tnx 88
iStockPhoto.com / Re: Portfolio numbers« on: June 21, 2019, 14:04 »Is anyone seeing anything odd on Istock? In Help > June Issues I see this short comment: Search & Portfolio results show massive differences when sort order changed 21JUN19 So looks like it's definitely a "thing" .... Ouch ! 89
iStockPhoto.com / Re: Portfolio numbers« on: June 21, 2019, 14:02 »Is anyone seeing anything odd on Istock? Yes, I'm just getting over the shock of seeing only 188 images in my portfolio when there are over 2600 .... I noticed others' portfolios are lacking as well. Hope this is only temporary. 90
iStockPhoto.com / Re: Here's a Positive: Some reviewers work on weekends« on: May 06, 2019, 06:06 »It appears that some istockphoto reviewers work on weekends. I got images reviewed on both Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. I don't remember ever having gotten any images reviewed on weekends before. Typically if I upload images on a Friday, nothing happens 'til Monday. 91

Photos that were sold in march are already in the webpage but still no statement about the $$$. iStockPhoto.com / Re: Information about March sales« on: April 17, 2019, 21:01 »Did you sell a lot? For now it's just the number but it can give an idea. Also for me when it says istock credits it's usually not so bad compared to istock subsHello! Photos that were sold in march are already in the webpage but still no statement about the $$$. Well, actually, I sold more last month than I have in any month in the last two years. However, in February, sales were miserable so it's probably just evening out a bit. I am glad that many of my sales are of subject matter that is all new for me. Makes me want to keep broadening my portfolio. 99

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Beautiful fluctuation in the number of downloads for March« on: April 06, 2019, 10:58 »In your account profile you can see "downloads to date" Personally I think its a totally unreliable stat. What you can't see is what has been downloaded in ESP you can see views and interactions. Which gives some kind of overview of activity on your account.... almost double my numbers in the past months ... have you seen the same phenomenon for your portfolio? Thanks, Sue - Appreciate your help. I've never paid any attention to those numbers because they seemed so unreliable as you say. But the "Downloads Year to Date" MIGHT give a very general idea of what MAY be going on. However, when I checked into April's Issues, I see this notification: "YTD Counter repeatedly not updating. Freezes for several hours, but catches up later." Makes these numbers hardly worth looking at. |
