And here we go again: http://www.veer.com/products/marketplace/

Click on big business, portraits, teamwork, practically anything, and yet again we have siai syndrome, same images as istock...

Is there no gallery can offer fresh business images that we HAVEN'T seen before, or do they all wet themselves when Yuri uploads his portfolio and push them to the top of every category, cos by God I'm sick of those models..

Go here:  Alamy.com

and I'll buy nothing with a crown : P
Why is that? What have exclusive contributors done to earn your wrath? In some ways, we are hurt more by this move than independents. Of course, it's your decision, and your money. I'm just curious why you feel that way.

Well - when some one pissis on me I for one Piss back.

Beisides - you should thank us, while on your knees whining. Hurting IS on the wallet, is the only thing that can bring the silly management at IS to the negosiationg table. The independents leaving, and taking their businnes and clients with them, is "money talks".

Remeber - there are 80%+ non ex. on IS.
Perhaps you should make sure you know who pissed on you before you piss back?

But I'm not going to contribute to this stupid argument any longer; I agree with those that say it's counterproductive. We are all getting screwed by Getty -- that's the part to focus on.

It's beacuse you don't get it. IS will keep changing goals until all exclusives are down to the standard Getty 20% royalty. You wil get F* over, and over, and over again.

The only way to get Getty to the negociating table, it to give them a hit on the wallet - i.e. IS sales. This is what the independents are doing for you. We are trying to save your asses. At the same time we free ourselves from the tyranny of Getty by taking our pics, our clients, and our DL's to other sites.
Wake up - wipe the cloth of IS sweettalk from your eyes....

I allready removed my portfolio at IS. 100 pics only, beacuse uploading there was such a pain in the ass.
I'll never use tem again, and I wil activily campain every where that no one shuold nor contribute nor buy images there, as they treat thier contributers like slaves.

I will then focus more on Alamy, SS, DT FT etc.

I belive this is the end to IS, as the leading microstock agency. In a year or 2 they are just an otner stockagency.

Buyers wil migrate to the other sites, at content leaves IS, og stops coming in to IS.
Buyers don't want to support an agency which take a 85% commision.

Well done Anja - so Did I this morning. Let them fry in their own fat, when everybode starts to refer clients to other sites, they are going to take a massive hit in sales and overall traffic...

Also remeber to tell everyone you know - never to buy at Istock, as the photographer only gets 15%

IS profits are not growing fast enough - IS is paying out way to much money....

Wuuu Huuuu - I'm crying for them. They just plan rub photographers and shamelessly complain that is not enough . HA!

General Stock Discussion / Co-op
September 08, 2010, 20:35
Would be a nice Idear. I suggest it to be based in Denmark, as a Coop under danish regulations are taxfree.

Yuri is based i Aarhus, Denmark - he's the kind of person who has to drive to launch a thing like this.

50%50% split - 10% of earning reserved for payout after 12 months - to further found the coop - a 100 $ downpayment for a part of the coop, and the right to contribute pictures. Alternatively the firs 100$ in earnings to to buy you in.

A good stockcompagny - micro or not - stands or falls with it's abaility to marketing the content. IS has been very good at this, but a coop could be e really good idear, and very strong finansially.

Well - I for one stopped uploadting til IS long ago. The process simply became way to time consuming.

Today I woted with my feet and culled the remaining 100 pics I had there. I'll never work with someone only offering 15% cut.

I'll now consentrate more on my Alamy and DT acount, and then some Fotolia now and then.

I will also do whatever I can to tell buyers about the rotten IS policy, and try to divert as many as possible away from IS, by posting stories on blogs an websites, as well as mailing buyers direcly.

I suggest, that you folks do something similar.

It's about time they are given a smack in the butt they can feel!
