Catch 22....... Symbiostock will not be able to generate large consistent sales until it has a large number of sites. People will not join until Symbiostock can show it can generate sales. I look at my Symbiostock sites as a long term investment, that will take time to generate a return.

I could not find the correct version for from/at
as an TEFL ( Teach English as a Foreign Language) teacher, I will add my 2 cents here. both from and at are correct, but they have slightly different meanings and not really worth worrying about.

What we're trying here is a month's special offer of a popular file at $1.00 for all sizes. We'll probably run one every month, just to see what happens.
The current bargain is at http://www.picturemojo.co.nz/image/sydney-harbour-bridge-illuminated-at-twilight/
Interesting Idea. Has it generated any traffic/hits/sales? Might this be something some of us may want to offer across the network? I know I could use the traffic.

Hi I just installed the Social Login plugin on http://stockimages.glennspecht.com/wp/Can people give it a quick test? It was a bit of work and I am still not sure about using this one, but, so far, I have not had any problems. What I like the most about this plug is being able to use the same settings on different WP sites ( right now I have 4)

I have had similar issues with all of my Wordpress pages.
I am on a really slow internet connection. Going and having a cup of tea and retrying later solved this for me ( not sure if it is the same problem for you)

If you have someone interested in your generic images, and they know about, and have a subscription plan at SS then that is were they will buy it.
If you have an exclusive image that they can't buy at SS, or they don't have a subscription plan, were will they go?
No one knows.

It is using the GD Library, but that doesn't support Metadata in the downloads.
I did not know this for until yesterday.
If I can't correct this, get ImageMagick happening I will have to take my sites off-line....

I dug out this thread to find out how to get ImageMagick going
this is what I received from my support:
We do not support imagick.so PHP module on the shared hosting . You can use the ImageMagick binaries like /usr/bin/convert . I have seen most scripts offer to call the ImageMagick binaries directly and you will have the provision to define the path to these binaries.
Help!!!

I don't want to hijack this thread but... what is ImageMagick and why do we need it??
Just Googled it. Way too complicated for my ol' brain to understand.
I use LR and (as needed) Photoshop and am happy with that combination. Are you saying I now need to add ImageMagick just so my metadata will accompany my images to their destination? I really don't want to have to install and learn another program just to do something basic like that.
Advice, please!
ImageMagick is the software that processes you images on your website.... you need to set it and forget it on your site, not on your computer.... now back to the original thread.....

It should be easy to set up two sites with the same image in different subdomains, one normal, one stripped. If I had faster internet I would be happy to do this....

Why is Shutter Stock so Successful? They have the same, or similar images as everyone else. Their rates are low, but not the lowest ( I don't think)
What do they do to bring in and keep image buyers happy?
Their search Engine?
Their marketing?

My plan, right now, is to put my travel and editorial travel work in one site, and share that with select stores ( SS and maybe SS)
My people doing real things images are going on my people site and to select stores ( SS mostly)
My creative images are being put Exclusively on my sites.
I would really like to only feed my own sites, but the traffic and sales are not there yet.
When I can get access to a faster internet, I plan to go into my images and rekeyword and optimize my SEO on my best sellers at the other stores.

In the image edit there are spaces for 5 referral links.
Anybody have any ideas about what would be good to put in here?
I was thinking that I could put links to my other sites, or maybe to a sysmbiostock hub site.

Leo's work is phenomenal. I'm fully in support of his efforts. But I feel the forced registration is a big limiting issue. We aren't signing up long term buyers through Google Images. We are selling one-off. I just think we are asking for too much commitment just to make a single image purchase. Make it optional, and let's compare results.
Have you tired installing one of the social media sign-in plugins? I think that is the short term answer to your problem.

I have seen this question Twice...but still no answer..... Hi Yuri, I asked a question a while back in this thread but I think it got swallowed in a wave of vitriol. I wonder if you could tell us if you've been given any assurances that Istock will improve their inadequate it infrastructure? Their IT systems seem to be on the border of collapse, for example. This may well be due to the priorities of previous CEO's - but what does the future hold there? Anything you can share with us?

I've added your site to http://symbiostock-search.com database
something's strange though - there's no version listed in your symbiocard.xml file. the rest of the data looks fine
Yes I noticed that as well. No new updates were showing for the theme on WP, despite I was on an old version. So I downloaded the latest version and installed it myself, just keeping all my old CSS files not to loose the formatting.
There have been, and likely will be updates coming. If you have a lot of CSS files/ changes you should be using a Child theme, not the main theme. check out http://www.symbioguides.com/ for details.

I feel like a teenager who is all set up for a party, but no one has arrived..... What I keep telling myself is the party really won't start for another couple of weeks.... Sept... when summer is over in the Northern hemisphere. So I keep uploading and working on my SEO.... but I am still listening for the ring of the doorbell.
