Sorry, as  you can see, I don't do vectors.
However, I'm sure you can read the training manual as well as I can:
https://secure.istockphoto.com/gb/help/sell-stock/training-manuals/illustration
(Didn't you have to read it and do a test on it before you were accepted?)

ShadySue, thanks a lot, you illuminated me :-)

I think the problem was that I have never uploaded any illustrations via the site. Now I have just uploaded three vectors and I am waiting to get the green light even for illustrations (as for photos) :-)

Keyword order matters not just at Ft but at some other agencies too (123).

are you sure about 123rf?

I knew order doesn't matter at 123rf. In fact on the keywording page at 123rf there is no way to adjust order. Am I wrong?

...as they are on the file, so you don't nead to order them on the site

I think this is the key

Adobe Stock / Hint for Keywording less heavy
« on: February 03, 2016, 03:17 »
Hi guys,

let's speak about keywording in Fotolia.

I found it quite demanding due to the fact that keywords have to be ordered. The graphical interface doesn't make the task easier. For instance the window of keywords is not adjustable in order to see all the words, so I spend lots of time to going up and down in the list. Generally I put on the top only few keywords (the most relevant) and the rest ones are more or less randomly ranked.

I sent some messages to Fotolia team explaining the above mentioned reasons but until now I didn't see any changes (let's hope).

Do you have any hints to share to make FT keywording less heavy?

Thanks in advance

You just import a jpeg and an eps with the same name, fix the keywords, add categories, move them all into the upload bin, and start the uploads. I guess if that is not working, then you may want to try upgrading or reinstalling the software.

I'll try. Does Reinstalling mean loosing the (local) database??

Hi,
I started to use Deepmeta on Win10
I succeed in keywording and uploading some photos.

I succeed in keywording some illustrations (jpeg+eps) but I failed in uploading. The process does three tentatives to upload them without any success.

I wonder where I am wrong with illustrations. I can't understand why not working with illustrations......I repeated the same workflow of the photos.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

thanks!

Shoot at manual exposure mode, and keep your shutter speed value 1/25 or 1/50 or 1/100 etc. Never go below 1/25. These settings are fine for 50p mode and 25p export from Premiere.

Thanks again for this hint!

88
Step through your rendered movie frame by frame and double check that there's no repeating frames. That's the biggest frame rate problem people have.

I didn't understand. And if I found a repeated frame, what should I do?

89

You are doing right. Shooting at 50p and exporting at 25p is good to have smooth motion. Actually your actual frame rate should always be equal or double of your exporting frame rate.

This is what I really wanted to know! Thanks a lot! ;)

90
Are you outputting at 24fps but shooting at something higher? That can cause choppiness, hence a "frame rate"rejection.

I checked it. I shooted at 50p (50 frame per seconds progressive mode) and I outputted at 25 frame per seconds
So how I can fix it? My camera permit me to shoot at 50i or 50p so I am obliged to opt for 50p. So I have to output at 50 frame per seconds? Am I right? I use premier pro cs6. Do I have to flag some options in exporting settings window???....for instance "Use Maximum render quality" or something else???

Thanks in advance

Mantis, thanks a lot. I'll check it.

Hi all,

I have started to uploading videos for a few weeks. In particular SS accepted some videos and rejected some other ones for the following reason "Clip exhibits issues related to frame rate". The workflow and the settings are the same both for accepted videos and for rejected ones. They are basic HD clips at normal speed. I work with adobe premiere cs6.

I really don't know what does "Clip exhibits issues related to frame rate" mean so I ask for your help to try to fix the issue and to upload them again.

Can you kindly give some hints?

I notice that video preview on DT is not so appealing in comparison to other sites. Probably compression algorithm should be reviewed. Do you agree?

94
Thanks a lot! Good advices! To me they are gold  ;)

I am new at video and advices are really need.

I want to shoot basic HD videos outdoor (no studio)....no pan, no zoom, no drone, no gopro....fixed camera on tripod and simply want to push rec button and wait.

I know the following questions depends on the scene but I would be really grateful if you could share some guidelines.

A) What settings on camera? 50i or 50p?

B) How long? 10 sec? or 30?

C) What codec? PhotoJPEG, Motion JPEGA o B??

D) Is it possible crop the videos as I do for photos? For instance to straighten the Horizon

Thanks in advance

For me DT was a huge waste of time and effort, I've disabled all my videos there (I didn't know how to close my port).. Also closed my port at IStock (few sales with humiliating percentage of profit to contributors)
Thanks for your reply

I just wonder why disabling videos.....I think they at least can only give you some bucks more (even if few).....if you disable them the revenue is zero for sure. Am I wrong??

Hi all,

I would like to start to uploading videos on DT. I know other sites like SS, P5, VB rule as far as videos concerning. I wonder if even DT is worth it.

Can you kindly share your experience in relation to the number of uploaded videos?

Thanks in advance
