Yay, out of the blue, I got my code yesterday! Actually I didn't expect that, because I thought my chance had gone. A very classy move by Adobe - thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Footage Rejections« on: January 10, 2020, 18:46 »
Before you make any big moves with your equipment, workflow or anything, try to resubmit those same footages again a couple of days later. No need to edit or change anything. Shutterstock reviewing process is so random these days, the AI can be incredibly good and incredibly stupid at the same time, so it's impossible to predict the outcome. That's why I always wait a day or two, maybe submit a new batch, before I give it a new shot for those rejected footages or photos. Most of the times they are all approved faster than I can say "Microstock - not worth it"!

They reviewed my 33 submitted images on Dec 31th and a day later a few more. Unfortunately, those shots reviewed by the next day hit that magical 300. Just my luck again.

Anyone else having a problem to login to your Mostphotos account. I get the message as "Wrong email and/or password". My password has been the same for ages.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: August stats« on: September 27, 2019, 00:57 »Jo Ann Snover was correct two or three years ago when istock changed the subscription payments to 'percentage of whatever the client pays'. She correctly predicted that this would allow istock to offer massive discounts to customers and then pass on those discounts to contributors. That's exactly what has happened. And this is why RPD is declining (and will continue to decline). I'm wondering how they are planning to maintain the contributor base as high as possible with this business model. All credibility is gone, revenues are gone, mutual respect is completely missing. How can anyone work for them when there is no minimum payout threshold. They are literally giving away some of our content for free. 87

That's one gutsy move to start your own business in such a competitive branch as the stock industry is. Hope everything is going well with this project.

It's 3am here in Finland so probably I'm not going to see the live stream but I do appreciate the webinar is available afterwards as well. The subject is very interesting - looking forward to your presentation. Good luck, Mat!

No true income possible to earn on MS these days unless you are extremely devoted and have no life outside. My guess is that by doing stock photography full-time, at least in my case, I would be alone and broke in six months or less. I might as well upload all my stuff to Pixabay, perhaps I would get lots of views which would warm my heart at least, lol...

I really put some effort into my new summer images but only a few sales so far. The good news is that my Christmas images are selling like hot cakes, don't ask why. Is there a Christmas season somewhere in the world at the moment?

Newbie Discussion / Re: Direct contact from a customer?« on: February 03, 2019, 10:34 »Maybe it works differently for photographs, I am an illustrator and I got several custom work requests through shutterstock (I put my e-mail in my profile description). That's a great idea to put email in profile description although it does feel a bit bending the company rules since they don't want us to deal direct with customers. Has anyone else done this on SS? 97

When I upload photos to agencies they are all attached with description and 50 keywords of course, but there are also some personal information, such as my email address, phone number and website. I guess I dream of making big sales with customers directly and some lucrative freelance gigs, lol. But the truth is nobody has ever approached me in these two years. Now, am I that lousy photographer, or don't the buyers get those information from the image data?
