" There are new functionalities, I will be making an announcement later today most likely, both here and via email to our members. We are just putting some finishing touches and fixing some bugs."
Ok, sounds good. Hope it helps. When I need to buy images, I buy at GL, because it's so easy.

You have a nice variety of models, but your lighting is terribly inconsistent and the "shoulders up-cut off the top of the head" composition is likely not as useful as a wider shot. And the majority of the ones I've looked at seem to not be doing anything interesting just looking at camera.

It's pretty. Looks basically the same. Are there any functional differences that will increase sales?

Here is a good question: upload the same stuff to Getty and iStock as well?
No, you can't.

At one point about 10 years ago I was at US$12-15 PIPY (Per Image Per Year) at iS.
Mine was higher than that. I can't imagine where I'd be today.

I haven't used microstocks yet. Now I try to earn a little money (say 500/month), as soon as possible. Pick one site and go exclusive or submit to a few sites? which is a better stratage? Mainly micro photos and some illustrations.
A better strategy would be to convince yourself you're going to build a time machine, and then wait for yourself to come pick you up from 2030 and take you back to 2004.
Yeah but if they had built a time machine they would have done that already..........
You have to decide at some point you're actually determined to do it. That's when it happens.

If images are approved, is there a facility to edit keywords/descriptions at a later date if you notice an error or something missing?
Images that are online, or in the queue can always be modified.

Same here, $28.

The review team is pretty good at looking at the "whole picture", so showing an amount of other work may be a good indicator that you're serious about creating content. That may be an important factor, as we would like to have more people that consistently upload.

Ah yes, I see what you're saying. And if that is the only definition, this is definitely prohibited, unless the claim "electronic product"?

Yes, you're just posting what I posted. There is nothing that states directly what you _can_ do with an EL. It states what you _can't_ do without one, which isn't the same.

Yes that "plain English" page just links back to the page I linked.
And this use would definitely not be allowed under those descriptions.

What about similar or sister images from an existing shoot with the same model and location that's already selling on another agency's site, but not the same image? The 2017 open call application page did not indicate these images can not be submitted. Just need to make sure. Thanks!
No. Stocksy is series exclusive.

Wow, that's crazy. And who (well we know who) would put out the money for an EL on the off chance they might sell a few on Etsy? http://www.istockphoto.com/legal/license-agreement#restricted-useBTW, I can't find any terms for extended licenses on iStock. All I can find is "what you can't do, unless you buy an EL". It doesn't actually specify the rights granted by an extended license. But the products for resale license says: "No Products for Resale. Unless you purchase an extended license, you may not use content in connection with any goods or services intended for resale or distribution where the primary value lies in the content itself including, without limitation, cards, stationery items, paper products, calendars, apparel items, posters (printed on paper, canvas, or any other media), DVDs, mobile applications or other items for resale, license or other distribution for profit. This includes "on demand" products (meaning products in which content is selected by a third party for customization on such product on a made-to-order basis), including, without limitation, postcards, mugs, t-shirts, posters and other items (this includes the sale of products through custom designed websites, as well as sites such as zazzle.com and cafepress.com)" So, if we flip it around, "You may use content in connection with any goods or services intended for resale or distribution where the primary value lies in the content itself including, without limitation, cards, stationery items, paper products, calendars, apparel items, posters (printed on paper, canvas, or any other media), DVDs, mobile applications or other items for resale, license or other distribution for profit." The way it reads is that there is another good, or item or service, that the content is "attached" or "used in connection with". Not that the content itself is the primary item, modified or not. It also does not specify or mention (or therefore allow) "digital downloads", modified or not. There is nothing in the license about "modified". My opinion.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. https://www.etsy.com/shop/MagicalRealityDesign (This is not my shop, but one I purchase from when I am not making my own graphics.)
That's crazy. It's like a mix of Creative Market (upload whatever you want) and design from the 80s. What do people do with these "digital downloads". And why would they go to Etsy to find them, when Etsy is supposed to be crafts and physical goods?

Related question: assuming we are not exclusive in any agency, can we sell our videos and photos on Etsy? Does anyone do it here?

Why would you, without any license restrictions?
Most have somewhat restricted TOU's. (Terms of Use) Especially about reselling as digital downloads. So, you can use for physical projects with limited sales but not repackage and sell as your own digital downloads in some other downloadable package.
I dunno. Seems risky somehow.

Are there rates and so on buried in there somewhere or are we expected to do custom work for .38 or 33%?
"Get compelling content that fits your brand guidelines at a practical price" "Practical" for them means ..... for you.

The yellow and pink looks a little more saturated then I would do these days, and the one is too unevenly exposed, imo. But otherwise, I don't see anything screaming out.
yes i silhouetted to make the people unrecognizable...is not a planned shot. thanks for input. i will already sent a batch. but it's written no less than 25 images but how many we can send? i sent 70 to show a variety of theme, but i can send more or is enough?
I would say you want to send enough to say "here's the kind of contributor I am", but so many that your style and/or niche gets lost.

I'm not an editor, so all I can do is look at the collection and compare. I don't think there's anything there that would make it into the collection, but then again, there's stuff in the collection that I wouldn't have thought would make it, so ...

Lol, just in and out for the one post? Ok.
Bruce doesn't own Stocksy. The shareholders/members do. He couldn't sell it even if he wanted to.

Just for a record! The founder of Stocksy is the same Bruce Livingstone who founded iStockphoto and destroyed for $50 million! If he has an opportunity guess will do the same with his new toy, but now for less money than iS
Apparently you don't understand how co-operative organizations work.

I had 3 downloads today at Alamy...happy days.
Thanks for the reminder. I hadn't looked at Alamy in a while because I licensed maybe 2-3 images since I had send my port. Nothing going on there. Suddenly, there are a bunch of reported sales, for more than a few hundred dollars total. Wow. Bizarre.
