They continue working on it - those 20 were just a first signal to everyone else spamming titles.
SS also asked us to get the message out (like "fix it in the next couple of days or get out") in different languages. So feel free to spread the word through social media in English and/or your native language. :)

Why would we spread the word. SS should just ban them immediately. Phuckem.

Today Shutterstock has deleted many of the images with spam titles and banned the contributors. Obviously the whole topic is now in their focus of action.  I bet that the remaining contributors who do image title spam are now in a hurry to change their titles before they get banned.

What's the source of information? Maybe search change has something to do against spammers, if they changed it indeed.

The founder of Shutterstock responded to a posting on Facebook. That is the source.
You can find the link on the Shutterstock forum.
Interesting fact is that Jon said "if people don't keep their titles and keywords clean we will ban them one by one"

Thanks, I found it...

Offtopic: I don't know if anyone noticed, but images, uploaded before SS implemented preview look better (sharper) than those, uploaded after preview function.

Selling images that are in public domain is disgusting. Sending extortion letters to people, who use public domain images is beyond disgusting. And the judge is and idiot, obviously, probably bribed...

I recently got one image rejected for "dust spots", and indeed there was one or two spots there. Now, how would machine know that?

I'm not even uploading anymore because new images don't see the light of day...

I like Fotolia's feature, if you go to "Dashboard" and then there's a "Newest files", if any of your files are featured there, you have a better chance for customers to see your port....

It still amazes me people buy much at all with all the free content out there.

I don't think there's that much free content out there. It's just, that people think, that they can use it for free, or sites with "free content" which was actually stolen from agencies.

« on: October 31, 2016, 13:00 »
Thank you guys for help! Adobe/Fotolia resolved the issue, Fotolia moderation team blocked me due to the slack emojis I have submitted few weeks ago, and I have found out the problem was with e-mail system they had not received my e-mails sent on 18th Oct.

Thanks to @MatHayward for unblocking my Fotolia account.

What does that mean?

Anyway, I wish SS would be so trigger happy with spammers....

« on: October 29, 2016, 07:12 »
They should just implement some kind of report system, when users could report spammers, and then they should delete those scumbags' accounts...

I think that would be the eassiest way, after all, sometimes you have two or three same keywords in description and it's not neceseraly spam...

And why they don't do anything about it is beyond me, I'm pretty sure, customers are sick of seeing pages and pages of almost identical files on the first page of search...

How about just starting a new thread for this issue? It is a major concern.  Though I think the best solution is for all payments to be in dollars and let your bank or payment provider do the calculations, I think it makes sense to discuss it in its own thread.

I disagree, I think the best solution would be for all payments in Euros....after all, Fotolia is European agency.

Maybe you should ask at SS first, just for their opinion, is that kind of usage allowed, etc...
