That interview is hard to watch.
Ugh __ it's even harder to listen to. I see he's adopted the silly Australian end-of-sentence uplift which makes statements sound like questions. (Example 03.06 "... we're just trying to align that a little bit better ?"). It's fine when spoken in an Australian accent but otherwise it is extremely irritating. It makes a middle-age bloke sound like an anxious 14-year old girl. Total lightweight and was clearly out of his depth running Istock.
I agree with you on this. I also find it extremely irritating and it's epidemic in the UK. I know people who have talked normal all their life suddenly adopt this ridiculous habit.

Had enough of this crap. I am going to give up exclusivity as this month has taken a dive from a pretty good start. I am going to get my images i8n as many libraries as possible.
I don't know if this last quarter of the year is typically a busy one for you, but you might want to at least consider waiting until January to leave (or early December to put in your 30 days notice) so you can get the maximum from your portfolio during the fall/winter season and take the hit during the process of uploading elsewhere during the quiet time at the beginning of next year.

Whenever it's time for me to re-apply to join SS (just about to be my 4th) why do they send me the notification in German ? I have emailed them asking them to send in English but I have had no response.

Something has happened as my sales have slumped again. They have been quite reasonable the last couple of weeks.

I have noticed October started slow but last week I had pretty good sales. I will ride out the winter and when it goes quiet at the new year I will drop my exclusivity and get my images in as many places as I can to spread my chances of making up the lost money. It's no good dropping it now as I may be missing out on a brief period of exclusive rate sales.

If you've got 800 past the IS inspectors you should have no problem technically - suggest using your most unusual subject matter as SS seems to like offbeat (stockwise) subjects that are not competing with thousands of almost the same thing.
And they reject it saying there is limited commercial value. I submitted a nice shot of old vintage traction engines (that has sold a few times at IS) at an English rally and it was rejected. You can't win.

Well I got a rejection for my first image that sells at Istock. They don't even inform me which image it is, they unly give me a number. How do I find out which image it was ? It doesn't show on my account.

Yep, another rejection. This time I got 6 out of ten BUT one was rejected just for the wrong caption !!!! That's really annoying because the image was right. They say that I should not submit the same images again but why not ? I submitted them before and they got passed so I would be stupid not too. If I submit a whole new load of images it's a new lottery. One was rejected this time that was passed the time before so it isn't foolproof. 30 days wait.....sigh

I agree (see post "sales have tanked") Last year I was getting at least $10-20 a day in downloads. Today I got one for 48 cents. That's utter garbage and an insult. I am dropping exclusivity. Iv'e had enough. They are not rewarding me for staying loyal. They have also demotivated me in taking photos this year because nothing gets accepted anymore so I don't bother. That's bad for me and I want to get back into it. There is more to life than Istock.

As an exclusive at IS, I feel it's time to move on and get sales elsewhere as they are not rewarding me for my loyalty. in fact, it's depressingly dire. For others of similar ilk with around 800 files (I thought I had more there) Will it be at least worth putting my best selling images in Fotolia or are they as frustratingly hard to get images passed like IS have become ?

It didn't work. When I went to upload and keyword I finally (After all that) got the message "Your account needs to be validated before you can submit. Sending conformation email". Again, I am already logged in with a username and password. It just goes round in circles.....
