Hi, I recommend this new stock site;it is swiss based and it has a good start. I withdraw already $138 in 2-3 months..i think. Good luck! www.lifeographies.com
Look, we don't mind hearing about new sites. But if you're just going to spam your own thing like we're idiots, well...

My titles are like: Hospital: Male Doctor Holds Digital Tablet And Discusses Treatment With Patient My description would be: Image from a series set in a hospital with doctors and patients
So, in the sites that correctly use the title data as the main descriptor of the image and the description as secondary, it's fine.

Yes, but my "title" data is more specific to the images I upload than the "description", so that's what I want on the page.

I noticed that many of my photos have the title and description field mixed up after the file is uploaded to SS. It's pretty crappy as it means even more work, especially in case of editorial content. Any tips regarding this?
On every image uploaded to SS, I have to clear out all the titles (with description data) and manually copy the title from windows explorer into the field. It's a pain. Same with 123RF.

They asked me as well, some months ago. If I remember the discussion with them correctly, their standard license inlcudes "print merchandise", which requires an EL everywhere else...
Odd they limit prints to 100k, but allow merch.

You pay a yearly subscription then you can purchase images at a reduced cost
Their program is confusing. So, there are two "collections", and a yearly fee gets all-you-can-eat content from one collection, but it also allows you to buy from the second collection?

No idea why, but all I got was a video of black frames.

That's just some filters on and bad camera work of a modern parade. Look at the people on the side watching.

With a million files added each week (month?), bookmarking a page of a search would never work, just due to the addition of the new files.

I would never expect the search to be the same from one day to the next. That's what lightboxes are for.

"Can we promote our work in this way"
Yes, you can.

I wouldn't brag about essentially breaking the exclusivity rules. The point of exclusivity was to raise the value of the collection by having unique imagery. In fact, this bit from Getty pretty clearly states what exclusivity means, and I think that applies to what IS had as well:.
"Can I submit Similars of Accepted Content elsewhere? No, Similars of Accepted Content cannot be submitted to any other stock agency, and/or directly licensed by you because by signing our agreement you are granting us exclusive licensing rights which allow us to maintain ideal pricing. If Similars to Accepted Content on Getty Images are available elsewhere, customers will tend to shop for the lowest price, driving licensing fees for that image down over time. Please review our Similars Guide to learn more about what makes an image Similar."
Of course, the only person you really hurt would be yourself, since 'identical' content was available elsewhere cheaper. Sorry, I didn't like it then and I still don't like it. It's got nothing to do with 'your shoes'.

My caretaker and I stood side by side for 7 years and shot exactly the same thing. I was exclusive with istock. He was not. I made 5x more money than him a month and still do even though we don't shoot together anymore. Our content looked exactly alike because he had to stand by me so I didn't fall. Point being, you can shoot with someone that is non exclusive and their images will look the same. Just like at a Lypse.
Yes, we know. It was quite ridiculous. I wouldn't brag about it.

Ah, if only I had had the initiative to have my wife stand next to me shooting similars so I could upload to both IS exclusively and non-exclusive sites.

If you're out shooting nature, or someone hiking or something, I imagine the photographer has to hide behind a tree to not be in the shot. Really anywhere, you'd have to start it and hide, right?
There's usually somewhere to hide or I can cut myself out when editing. Just take two photos and move to a different place and it's easy.
For video, though, there's no editing, I imagine.

Absolutely not.

If shooting regular stills/footage is hard due to logos/people/etc., I can't even imagine what a pain 360 might be.

I asked Fotolia regarding images and didn't even mention video.
Maybe they thought that because everyone knows to shoot/submit at your sensor ratio for stills.

22 custom exclusive use images for $300?
Sigh.
