It's absolutely terrible. Still dire sales. Sept=on track for being crapper than Aug.

By the look of things, once you are accepted (which is almost impossible enough) it's now hard to get any images approved looking at the SS thread.

Ok, I give in. I have signed up with an account but can't see any way of uploading. When I click on the "sign up" link on the "Start selling pictures" page, it hyperlinks to my set up account details with no instructions about contributing.

Can we get back on topic please. Sales still appallingly dire. September looks set for another big slump.

I would join SS but I can't be bothered jumping through the right hoops to get accepted. It's too frustrating.

Someone started off this topic but of course it was stamped on by you know who. September sales have tanked. Absolutely dire !!! This time of year should be busy.

I did ok last Friday but it's been dead for me the last three days like zero downloads. Don't think that has happened before now. Sales have just tanked. Depressing !!!

But this pattern is only recent for me. It didn't use to be like this.

This post got blocked by you know who but I will ask it here. Why do Fridays seem to be a very bad or no sales day compared to the rest of the week. Does the US stop work on this day an have an extended weekend ?

If you are a fine Art creative photographer who likes things like ie, light and shadows, forget it. If you take flat well lit images that are not that interesting from a creative perspective you have more chance of the "reviewers" letting you through.
I am an exclusive and am finding myself between a rock and a hard place. If I go, my already dire royalties will drop to an even more pathetic low than they already are. If I stay I feel like I am not being rewarded at all for my exclusivity. If I can sell my images through more outlets I may make more (as well as the rejected images) but it will be time consuming. In a nutshell I have nothing good to say about IS at this moment. Every month gets worse for me and this last has been the worst in royalties since 2009. 969
iStockPhoto.com / Re: Are Your Exclusive To Istock?« on: July 16, 2011, 05:43 »
I am appalled at how low my sales have dropped in the last 2 years (coupled with the impossible process of getting anything accepted anymore) I am going to give up my exclusivity because I have waited long enough for the sales to get better. They haven't and I don't believe they will ever again. I have thousands of images good enough to sell elsewhere and I will do so. I dropped audio exclusivity and it's the best choice I made. Here is an example. In July 2010 with less files, I earned around 182. So far into July 2011 with more files and over half way into the month I have earned 24 !

May so far is even worse. What idiots have messed up the site ? It's disgraceful. I will be turning in my exclusivity as I will make more money on lots of cheaper sites. Eggs and baskets spring to mind.

Really ? I am earning decent amounts everyday on another site and that includes Easter.

Still absolutely dire. Really really awful sales. I am on target to earn the lowest amount in nearly 2 years. I have pretty much written Istock off as they have basically destroyed most of what was good about them.

Absolutely dire sales. Depressing. I am getting very annoyed at the clowns who run this show and are damaging our sales, our living. I have never witnessed so many self destructive decisions in the space of 12 months anywhere. It's unbelievable.
