Selling quality content for these low prices is just laughable.
Just out of curiosity, may I ask what you paid for your quality editing software? Something that cost millions of dollars to develop. Surely, over $100,000? $200,000?
Then you have the self-proclaimed high pricing "gurus" with 20,000+ clips who go 4 days without sales at P5. Now THAT is laughable. 20,000 clips and multiple days with zero sales? Maybe, just maybe, prices are too high...
I have an Adobe CC subscription, I pay $65 / month. Prices are too high? What is too high for one customer may be very affordable for another customer. In my experience, most customers are willing to pay more than $8 for a quality HD video. Maybe some "gurus" who price their files higher than most are indeed overplaying their hand, but it all depends on quality-price balance.

You can let StockSubmitter pick categories for you based on keywords and such. Works pretty good, sometimes you need to adjust it manually.
Stocksubmitter is especially useful for saving time on submitting to agencies, specifically those that require you to zip your files.

I recently did a image search on some of my images and found one of them on some site that seems to be partner with fotolia and to my surprise I could see the number of views and downloads. I checked the number of downloads on Adobe stock and it was the same so it makes sense that also the views to be from AS here is the link: https://gamesageddon.com/stock
I am really missing the view statistics because its an indicator of what buyers search for and on how to improve your images or keywords and many other things. I dont understand why so many stock sites choose to blind us from this client interaction.
Fotolia.com still shows the number of views for each file. I prefer the Fotolia contributor platform, which is much more contributor friendly than the Adobe Stock platform. Maybe AS still needs to mature and evolve before it becomes as useful.

I removed all my hd files since they sell the hd files with 8$ and i get only 3$ while at videoblocks i get 42$ fot the same file. I have to say that i had decent sales at videohive but i think that they are doing damage to the stock industry with such low prices. I think maybe to remove all my portfolio since they charge 4k files with only 25$. But i will wait with such a drastic move. What do you think?

I think you should remove your entire portfolio. Videohive (and basically Envato as a whole) damages the industry. Selling quality content for these low prices is just laughable. I don't understand why anyone would shoot themselves (and fellow artists) in the foot by selling for cheap. Meanwhile, Envato screwed up with the whole 'we're not an agency, we're a marketplace' crap just so they wouldn't be responsible for the taxes (which resulted in lots of legal hassles for contributors in Europe) and more recently their commission cuts.

I'm all for staying in touch with customers and contributors and doing proper market research, BUT... ...they sent another survey in July, and I already told them what I thought should change to make it better for contributors. And now they sent us another survey, as if they're not even doing anything with the results from the first one. So this time, I'm not gonna waste my time with them.
Besides, as they're one of the worst paying agencies out there, I'm not going to hint them in the right direction anymore. Let their competitors take over the market, if they haven't already.

Two 4K sales, no refunds.
I wouldn't stop uploading 4K. You probably had some bad luck there.

No image sales yet. Video sales are doing okay. I wonder why the image sales are not taking off at all for me.

Less than 100 dollars with 4200 files, but i havent been uploading.
One video for 10 dollars, the other one, a 4k...for 68 cents....
Really depressing.
What's really depressing about this, is the fact that despite the low royalties, you're still selling your videos there.

Cool feature.
Does featuring a maximum two collections mean that other collections can't be found by customers?
May I add another suggestion: the possibility of adding a description for each collection would be nice.

Actually I find my sales are picking up since September (mostly because of video sales), after a lousy July and August.

I have no problem creating a backup every week or so, but I get the popup every single time (i.e. every day) on startup, even after making a backup yesterday.
What about automatically creating a backup (like an autosave, say five backup files, and then repeatedly overwriting the oldest ones)? The program could say 'Creating backup' at the splash window. Or at least giving users the option 'Don't show this again'? I understand it's important to backup image data (although power cuts and freezes don't happen often). But this popup window is getting annoying like a spam mail or cookie wall.

Almost everytime Stocksubmitter starts up, it says something like 'it's been a long time since you've made a backup of your configuration settings', even though I do a backup every time. The message comes back too often. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off this warning either.

- Contributor page: in my opinion, the Earnings section should be on top (most important), then Uploads (it says Lastest instead of Latest) and Downloads at the bottom.
- A sans serif font makes for better legibility. The bars should be thinner, smaller and have less whitespace.
- The logo looks like it says GStock (the L is hidden away too much). But I guess you can't change that anymore.

Overall best month since October '14.
SS: BMY FT: not BMY, but a good month as well. VB: same at FT
Even 123RF is on the up again after 3 lousy months.

...so if this deal is a distribution deal versus the API integration deals we've seen elsewhere, this is another anti-contributor move on SS's part
If they will do what they say, and they clearly mentioned 'reselling Shutterstock's assets', then this is a (re)distribution deal, with the consequences you already mentioned. While I'm not familiar with Moovly but it appears they specialize on video content; the impact on photographers shooting mainly photos would be minimal, but those shooting mainly video, should carefully watch this.
Actually, I think vectors and other graphics will be sold as well via this agreement, as Moovly allows its users to select graphics from its library to move around or to be 'drawn' as if it's a whiteboard illustration.

Photos have a much lower RPD than video. So obviously, the extra revenue coming in from newly uploaded photos is relatively small to the existing expected revenue from video.
It's technically impossible for photo sales to cannibalize your video sales. It may not add much revenue because of the aforementioned RPD, but it certainly won't come at the cost of your video sales performance.

And from a user standpoint having to click 'load more' is one of the worst ideas web developers have ever come up with. Just load the info into a single page and be done with it.
But iS doesn't want to shut out its contributors who still work on 28k8 modems.

"We know that insight into file performance is valuable, so were happy to announce iStock Contributor Stats are now available in ESP. This feature will provide view, interaction and download data you can use to better understand customer activity related to your files."
This feels as if I'm in 2004, when microstock was in its early days...A never-before-seen feature called download statistics, it's groundbreaking!
It's like iStock is trying to reinvent the wheel (called ESP) and just proudly announced they've produced a spoke for us to use in the meantime.

So, is anyone making any sales since the launch on Sept 18? Is the content publicly available now?

Well, I sold one 4K video for $0.90, one for $14 and one for $60. What the heck is that??

Is this like those design contests/ spec work, or do you actually get paid to supply creative content based on a brief?

iStock/Getty will drop to the mid-tier, AdobeStock and Shutterstock will remain top-tier. The rest will stay the same more or less.

If your're talking about 6 and 30 dollars in two weeks, you don't have enough sales for a statistical analysis of agency performance.
