I sell some of my own clips on BB and with Artgrid that is correct. I have right around 15k clips between my Pond5 regular and exclusive accounts. It does decent but for my time and money I feel BB may be a better bet now.

I have been at this for 15 years 12 of those I survived only on stock video! Some content is not for Artgrid some is, you have to know where to place wwhat content.

I have about 7k clips on BlackBox most are shared income I did keywording for. I make between 200-1k permonth with them. I also have a wire stock account and I like them for a few reasons. First if your file gets rejected you can still have it for sale on your own port on wire stock. I like that wirestock has a way for you to build your own store at the same time as submitting to other agencies. I am exploring new ways to push this. I like the 100 files they will keyword for me as it saves me time. I still do my own keywording on some files. I like that they take photo and video as well. BlackBox is just great for video and I can highly recommend them. My path going forward is to upload more to wirestock/Blackbox of course not the same content and continue to grow my port on Artgrid.

Hear me out. I did stock video full time for 10 years. Services like BlackBox and wirestock are starting to make more sense. You can sell on your own and set your own prices on wirestock. I am changing it up a bit here in order to maximize my income. I know but wirestock.. and so on. I have and am selling in my own as well there and it is working. BlackBox now makes more sense then Pond5 Exclusive. Think time and money people. Its a business for me nothing personal.

While I am not about to get into politics and if anyone was threatened then they should be arrested. I can say for a fact that lots of aid has been turned around for no apparent reason happened to our group as well so it is a fact. When we challenged it they did not have an answer. We were just told to stop delivering food and water and we were located at the town hall with permission. Strange stuff for sure but let this be a reminder that you can not depend on any gov. for help! I would say the same no matter who is in office!

Between work and taking care of home I just don't have a ton of time. You might see on the news that militia are threatening FEMA, this is not true! this is what is really happening. https://youtu.be/BJJ35IFkbpg?si=0L6mfGiE_HJpUggJ   You have to understand the people of the mountains in order to help them. You need to be respectful and ask for help from them to distribute supplies then say for your help please take what you want. They are not full of pride they just to not want to take any help incase someone else might need it more.

Some more interesting facts for you. I have done nothing amazing as it is overwhelming still. Passed out water this weekend in Asheville. People have tanks in thier neighborhood but the older populating is having a hard time carring 5 gallon buckets to flush their toilets with, also those in apartments on the top floor with no elevator. Now on to some interesting facts you may not hear on the news and I would be happy to take anyone around to show them. One of the largest producers of IV fluides factory flooded in NC they have asked the White House to declare a national emergency becaue of that but it has not happened. I hope we don't see IV fluid shortages but that is a possibility. Second Ingels is a grocery chain and one of their distrubuition centers flooded with 8ft of water. They lost over 17 semi trucks worth of food, you can not walk into a grocery store in Asheville and find any fresh produce! There is plent of water available and you do not need to send food as the donations have poured in for that. Blankets, sleeping bags, propane heaters and the like will be needed now. Will be a tough winter for many people.

If you see this in the news "State reports 93 verified storm-related deaths in North Carolina" it is a complete LIE!! I have a friend who works EMS in Henderson County and they have over 1k body bags! The numbers are in the thousands if you count all the counties involved. I have no idea why the news is not telling the truth on this.

Done, easy to fill out and thank you

I do not wish to get into politics, never depend on any goverement for your well being. Yes there is some help not a lot. The few FEMA agents on the ground are workers like you and me and they are trying. The community help from businesses and local people is amazing and humbling to see. Water is liquid gold right now some more homes are getting power in Asheville and surrounding areas but water is the issue. A lot of public buildings rely on city water and can not open incluidng schools. I think that if that condition continues and they are working as fast as they can, that people will be forced to leave the area. Winter is coming and I fear sickness and disease. Just working in the flood waters is awful the smell is awful and who knows what is in that water! It's a long road ahead, some communities will never come back, others will survive.

We see these people on ground zero, working and setting up medical clinics they are doing good work and I am in no way affiliated with them. I don't look for religious charities I look for people who are working. https://www.samaritanspurse.org

Like I said before, I do not trust either party. I tend to focus on how I can help those around me in need. I don't expect the gov. to come and help in any way so I am not frustrated or dissappointed. The community respones is amazing and needs are being covered well! Focus on what matters and ignore the rest, amazing progress is being made by the people without the gov. that is a good thing! I can share so many stories of people stepping up and givng all they have to help others. Bye bye to the gov. we shall survive and in good fashion.

It is true that Black Moutain has one of the largest Lithium deposites in the United States. Now is this the reason for the hurricane, I am not sure about that.

Politics or theories don't really matter at this point, I frankly don't trust either side. When you are in a position like this the last thing on your mind is Washington. You need food and water so who cares. The only silver lining is people stepping up to help people, community support has been strong. The town I was born in Banner Elk NC is completely cut off because of washed-out roads and they are running out of food. I wager numbers are in the thousands of people dead. just google "Chimney Rock after Helen". I have family that went to one of the worst area's and bodies are still in trees.  Weather station estimated 23 trillion gallons of water dumped on WNC that is Niagara Falls Running for over a year, people had no time to get out. Even in Hendersonville which was hit hard but not as bad as some there is still very limited power spotty cell service and no internet. If you need food there are a few grocery stores open with cash only signs. https://youtu.be/z_1Y5LWZ7OE?si=DXeMw0yt2uOnMFiz

Any donation is helpful to a charity you research and trust! $10 will matter now for the people.

I have lived in these mountains most of my life, the news is not talking about or showing you how bad it really is! Whole towns are completely gone, I have been working the past 4 days in just helping who we can. Aunt's house gone, work place flooded and having to relocate and we have it good!!! The amount of destruction is beyond words! Zero national guard or FEMA you are completely on your own, people are starving and have no clean water, 2,000 people stuck in one location has gone six days with no food. I am not asking for anything I faired well with only a power outage for 4 days!!! If you can help find a charity you can trust and help. Loss for words now https://youtu.be/XYnVbBXuPfU?si=2GqYpdgyDjzUOzDC

On a glass half full I have seen way too many clips priced too low, I am not opposed to this as the confusion was too high on pricing. The 60% stays which was important to me. If it drives more customers I am all for it.

Yes, but so far with video all is good, you can still set your prices for photo and still make more %

I have been in this industry for a looooong time, I still earn thousands a month on my stock "mostly video" As I see people getting hammered on photos and I have the same concerns I was wondering if we all went to P5 which is not perfect and priced our largest size at $10 and just uploaded there then hey we would at least see a decent return on our images. Oh I am aware of the getting sales and traffic problem but I think it could be done!

22
Adobe Is The Worst!!! I had one single image where I used an element of another image that was clear of copyright and they deleted my whole folder including all of my video!!! I had a handful of images and would have been happy to delete them all but nooooo no response, just evil........FACT

23
iStock Exclusive is better than Abode.

24
My advice is to run from Adobe as if your pants were on fire!!!!

25
Same thing happen to me I just never posted, I did had one image that I had used a part of from pexels that I used in a composition of my image and for that reason alone they turned off my entire port! I only had a few hundred photos because my main earnings is from video of which I had thousands and worked with them to help launch video back in the day when Dennis was still there. Just plain crazy, like I would't have deleted it if I had known. Oh well life goes on and I am rolling in with other projects. If they say you were warned once I was and deleted everything I know had any elements from pexels sorry I missed one!!!
