The customers are looking for specific themes or images for a specific purpose or project and you can assume that the artist behind the buyers absolutely no matter.

What happens if I was uploading vectors with artboards in sizes like 2400 x 2300? Do I recreate and save as a PNG or what's going to happen. Will I get dinged somehow for having a file as a vector and as a PNG?

Interesting move forward, I don't know if I'll just add new and leave the old as they are, but I'm still interested in how you are handling these updates.

Hello Uncle Pete, The ~10MP is mostly a recommendation (I talk too fast, I lack Mat's experience. Most vectors convert well regardless of their artboard. The 10MP recommendation is to solve some rare use cases as issues come from small artboard vectors with occasional rasterized layers generated when a contributor converts it's vector to EPS. We'll be updating the HelpX page for vectors best practices soon. I'll post it here when it's live.

Good point, but as a rule of thumb I recommend avoiding mentioning the file type or transparency in the title, it's not best practice. These create more noise than benefits, and as you mention, they can lead to customer issues.
It is safer to rely on filters and other browsing options. Your transparent PNG is automatically detected and flagged as such and will be displayed in the given sections when we open them.
For new asset types, and the very case of the PNG launch that we're working on with you, a critical mass is needed across search queries in order to meet customer satisfaction.
The decision to sell them straight away as jpg's was made to ensure contributors would be able to generate revenue from their work without waiting for us to open NPG downloads. Going the other way would not have been fair on our end and might have hurt our sourcing ability.

If this is related to artboard then Adobe needs to fix it. As a designer, we prepare files months before any event. Now, how to re-fix all the files again, it will be huge time consuming.

We're working on it.
In the short term we'll implement a block on artboards smaller then 15MP to stop the string of wrong rejections and ensure we're providing buyers with the optimal renditions.
Mid-term we're working on a fix to not depend on the artboard sizes anymore. Sorry for the disruption, Mat or myself will keep you posted as we progress.

Indeed, if your vector is setup in a way that we can automatically offer different download options from it. (Artboard >10MP and no background) Then the best way for you is to only upload the vector, we'll take care of marking these assets as available for Transparent PNG downloads automatically.

Both. Customers will be able to filter by transparent assets. If your original vector had no background in the back, then it will automatically be available in both '1' be displayed when customers filter for transparent assets and '2' be available for 3 possible downloadable assets types: the vector, the PNG, the flattened jpg. (even when customers find them outside of filtering.
Something we'll have to deal with in the future is the flattened jpg option, as you can imagine, white snowflakes flattened on white backgrounds won't get much success. Which is the issue with our current implementation as we ramp up acquisition of transparent assets (PNG's). But we're working on a fix which should hit before customers start needing them. However, since Mat did not succeed in getting the message across to the division manager or at least your operations manager I would kindly suggest you might try it. For me, speaking very personally and not for all contributors here, allthough lot of people complain, it would be very welcome if the revision crew would get a somewhat larger list to choose from when they reject a photo (or vector or video for that matter). I know this will make your workflow less productive but as explained it will give Adobe benefits in the future when we, your suppliers, understand why you don't want specific material. If you leave us clueless (apart from crap that some people will feed you) we have no way of understanding how to do things differently. Be truthful as well. If you already have enough material of say a picture of a rose just bring it like that instead of saying it's rejected for technical reasons. Maybe the person will stop submitting material of roses and goes shooting something else instead of trying to puzzle out how to shoot the rose properly, right?

Thank you for the feedback! We're looking into this. As you mentioned it's a tough balance between reviewing the files in reasonable time vs. providing granular reasons. We can do better and I hear you on how this would benefit our agency too.

For other file types, if you question the validity of their rejections please keep them coming. (Mat has shared his e-mail for this I believe). And when you feel comfortable with it please provide us with the content ID's so we can investigate faster. Thx!
