Shutterstock.com / Re: The Months Earnings & Payments
« on: June 13, 2025, 09:29 »
I received an email from Shutterstock saying the payments were sent. However, I did not receive an email from Payoneer stating that the money had been sent. When I checked my Payoneer account last night, I saw that the payment had been transferred to my account as of June 11th.

I also sold 23 vertical videos on istock in 1 day. I would have been excited if it was before, but now I feel like these sales are from China and I will earn 0.03 per video.

Shutterstock sales are going pretty well in June. RPD was $0.58.

Adobe sales numbers are down but there were a few high-earning sales. I think it will be a better month than the previous months when we get paid for free content towards the end of the month.

Shutterstock.com / Re: New Unlimited Download Model
« on: May 29, 2025, 18:15 »
Everything is ok. But there is something we missed.

Right now, as a buyer on Shutterstock, when we search for an image we want to buy, the first image that appears is "those who allow unlimited downloads". In other words, it shows the images of "those who allow" to each customer first. If the customer selects "All images", they can see all of them.

This hides the images that are not niche but simple and very popular. If all customers do not know this and are looking for "apple on a white background", the first images that appear are "those who allow unlimited downloads" and the customer will buy one of them.

This is actually a small penalty for those who do not accept.

Try it. Enter the site as a customer. Search for many different images and videos. If you did not allow it, your products will definitely not be visible at first. However, if you select "All images", you can reach them.

$69.08 in participant funds was transferred to my account. I have both a photo and video portfolio. I don't know which one they deposited participant funds for.

May is going badly for me at Adobe. While istock and shutterstock are making the same stable sales, depositphotos has left Adobe behind in both sales and earnings this month.

As of May 13, Adobe has fallen to 4th place.

(Also, the photos I took for Ramadan are still waiting to be reviewed. I hope they won't be reviewed for another 9 months and will be available for sale in time for Ramadan 2026. :P )

General Stock Discussion / Re: motionelements payout(s)?
« on: February 26, 2025, 08:51 »
They were sending our payments regularly between the 15th and 18th of each month. The February payment has not been sent yet. The information section says "Upcoming". There is also a warning saying "Final amount may vary due to payment processor fees". My payment method is Payoneer.

Is there anyone else who has not received their payment this month like me or is there a problem with my account?

Depositphotos The ai payment was made as "Special Sale" on August 2, 2024. I have both photos and videos in my portfolio. I don't know which one it was made for.

I think the reason we see so little AI content in Turkey is that Adobe, which has the most AI content, does not sell to Turkish customers.

For this reason, almost all of the stock images used are licensed through Shutterstock, Istock and GettyImages. Since there is no AI content in them, we do not come across them either.

However, I have been looking at AI images related to Turkey for the last 2 hours. Most of them are not prepared by Turkish users, but by citizens of other countries. Especially in images related to tourism and travel, they have had the AI create touristic places with high sales potential by entering words. But maybe they prepared images of places they have never seen, so they sent them without realizing that they were misleading. I am sure that the people who examined them accepted them because they did not know that they were misleading.

As Ramadan approaches, it seems that we will see mosques with missing or extra minarets in many images. Any user can understand a kangaroo with 6 legs, but they will not pay as much attention to Hagia Sophia with 3 minarets instead of 4 as a kangaroo.

Or those who choose Bodrum from Turkey for their summer vacation will think "Why isn't it like the Game of Thrones castle in Adobe" when they see the real Bodrum Castle.

Adobe does not only sell stock images, videos, etc. in Turkey. Apart from that, we buy Adobe programs under license.

Adobe Stock / Re: AI photo rejections
« on: January 14, 2025, 08:03 »
I don't think it's just for ai images. They also rejected real photos all together, saying "Quality Issues", as they did once. All 37 photos I sent last week were rejected for the same reason.

Since I believe in the quality of the photos, I sent the same photos 10+10+10+7 at 1-day intervals. All 37 photos were accepted. And 3 of them were sold in the same week.

I think the images you prepared are of high quality. If there are similar subjects, I recommend that you send them in smaller series on different days.

How will misleading content in the Adobe library be removed? According to the examples given, everyone is knowledgeable about their own region.

I searched for "Istanbul" as artificial intelligence content in the Adobe library. I know very well because I live there. 85% of the images on the first page are misleading. How can an employee working at Adobe and living in another country know this?

Or how can I know whether the image about "Hamburg", which I have never been to, is misleading?

Actually, I wonder where exactly artificial intelligence images are used. Artificial intelligence images are definitely not used in magazines, newspapers, press and publishing websites in Turkey. It was used in the news of major newspapers a few times in the beginning. However, since the use of models that did not look like Turks in a news about Turkish Retirees was found quite ridiculous, the content of the news was changed immediately.

I am sure that the customer knows what kind of image they want. It is very good to separate Real Photo and AI in searches. But the selection tool could be in an easier place. It could be in the selection in the upper left corner.

(By the way, we can participate from Turkey, but Adobe is closed to Turkish customers. We can check our portfolio by changing the "tr" extension in the internet address bar to "fr". That's why the first page I see and the first pages you see may be different.)

« on: January 09, 2025, 09:29 »
Since I can't open a new topic, I want to continue here.

Yesterday, while checking a video I sold on the shutterstock website, I saw two identical videos among similar videos. When I looked at one of them out of curiosity, I saw that the exact same video had been uploaded more than 50 times among similar videos. I looked at many of them one by one, all uploaded by different accounts.

How is this possible?

(I will share the screenshot and similar page link if I can do it)

Pond5 / Re: Pond5 Contributor Agreement Update
« on: December 21, 2024, 14:50 »
I still can't understand the pond5 pricing system. One of the last 2 videos sold was 4k, the other was HD.

The price I found appropriate for 4K was $50. But it was sold for $16. I was also paid a $6.40 commission. For HD video, I set the price I found appropriate as $25. It was sold for $22.50. And I was paid a $8.97 commission.

In my participant portal, I set the video price as $50, but if I want to buy it, it appears as $16. So why do I set my own prices for videos?

I set a price of $89 for 4k and $49 for HD for all the videos I recently uploaded. But on the video purchase screen, it appears as $60 for 4K and $48 for HD.

I am a participant from Turkey. And I open the purchase screen with a Turkish IP. Could it be that the purchase prices change automatically depending on the country?

A city under the stars   HD   $22.42   Global Market Earnings   $22.42   $8.97

iStockPhoto.com / Re: November stats are up
« on: December 18, 2024, 17:50 »
Congratulations to getty images. I think they found the formula that 50+50 is less than 100.

I didn't expect much. But I didn't think it would be this much.
Bigstock, which hasn't accepted images for a long time, paid 7 times more than getty. Depositphoto, which no one likes, paid 3 times more than getty. Even 123Rf, which I hate, paid more :)

I have a W-8BEN tax form valid until 2026. Despite this, a tax of nearly 18% was deducted when making the payment last month. Since I live in Turkey, a 10% deduction is made only from sales made in the USA. There is no explanation as to why such a deduction was made.

If you recall, they deducted tens, hundreds of dollars from all of our earnings in February 2024. They said they would deposit Ai earnings for a 1-year period since September 2023. When I saw our earnings from other stock sites, I realized this. Either no site prefers istock/getty for Ai, or istock/getty does not distribute earnings fairly. Or 50+50=12.

« on: December 18, 2024, 15:22 »
By the way, my payment has not been sent yet. Although it is written on their website that after the payment limit is exceeded, the payment is made until the 17th of the following month, the payment was not sent on November 17th and December 17th. I sent an e-mail to 123rf website stating that the payment was not made, but no one is replying. (By the way, I still haven't deleted my images. I am thinking of deleting them after receiving my payment)

Has anyone received payment in November or December?

I finally passed the final payment threshold again and now that my balance has been transferred I can close my account. (I thought it was just me because I was thinking about it.) I'm a little relieved that it happens to everyone.
If anyone is wondering why I closed my account.
My last sale. $0.0003

« on: October 17, 2024, 05:08 »
Of the 2 videos I uploaded last night, 1 was accepted today. The other is waiting for review. Since they have a similar concept (sunset timelapse from different locations), the description and tags are the same. Both are horizontal videos. (Vertical videos are reviewed faster)

Of the 4 videos I previously submitted, 2 were reviewed and accepted in 2 days. The other 2 were accepted 1 week later. I currently have videos waiting for review for 16 days and photos waiting for 30 days. None of them are AI.

Good news. The photos I uploaded on June 27th have now been accepted. (I uploaded them to other stock sites the same day, I have images that sold 10 times before Adobe reviewed them).

The oldest post waiting for review is 17 days old. The total number of images waiting is 277.

Adobe Stock / Re: What's your weekly ranking and how many images?

It is a screenshot from stockperformer.

You get great statistics across all agencies that are connected to their system and can see nice stats for individual files.

I'll look into it. Thank you.

Or maybe because you didn't analyse the demand for your niche well? How many other artists are covering the same locations? Is their content better? Who is your main competition?

Who is the main buyer group you are targeting with these images? What are current trends and styles this buyer group is currently looking for? Do the buyers have regular trade shows or events where they meet and discuss new trends? Do you know buyers of that genre personally?

Go ahead, send me a link.

It also takes time for a file to sell.

Here is the sales pattern of a simple photo. It had few sales at first, then nothing, now it sells every week.

I see this 18 month pattern with many of my files, sometimes it takes two years.

If I upload regularly then the traffic on my port increases. More traffic, more chances of files being discovered. A few weeks ago I sold a video I uploaded in 2013, I had given up hope. Also other older files being discovered, now that I am a regular producer again.

But many new files need 18-24 months to get going.

Cobalt, where can we see the information you shared in the screenshot? (Not the earnings ranking, but the visual statistics)

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobestock Review Time
« on: September 05, 2024, 17:15 »
I think this late acceptance period worked for Shutterstock and iStock. While the earnings were always close, Adobe fell behind the other two agencies by 1/4 in August. (A few extended license sales over $50 may also have been effective. Adobe only had one sale for $26.40).
But while all sales related to the period were frequent in other agencies, Adobe is still waiting for review.
I upload regular content every day. Half of the content I uploaded 1 month ago was accepted, the other half is waiting. Some of the content I uploaded last week was accepted, the other is waiting. " If I had worked only with Adobe, I would have had a hard time. ) . (It is the first time that istock is accepted late. Editorial content is reviewed in 2 days)

(Number of pending files: 283. All real photos).

Before the upload limit is imposed, the units that review real photos and AI photos should be separate. Right now, people who don't even have any visual knowledge can create AI images with a text. I guess a small percentage of the AI images submitted are accepted. I'm sure those who produce AI on this forum are doing very well. But I'm very curious how many images of someone who has a screenshot of "67k AI images waiting to be reviewed" that I saw on a different forum last week will be accepted.

Just as video, illustration, vector are different, real photos and AI photos should now be categorized separately. and reviewed separately. This way, real photos won't have to wait in the review queue for such a long time.

« on: August 16, 2024, 08:38 »
There is a warning in the video submission requirements that says "Duration needs to be at least 5 seconds and not exceed 60 seconds."

How can they accept a 3-second video?

The moderators accept videos under 5 seconds and from my observations a short time later the videos get deleted.

In the example given above, all of the videos in the portfolio of the person are 3 seconds long, across 86 pages. very interesting

My English is not good enough. So I hope I misunderstood.

Everyone shares their own portfolio pages here. If two people argue about a different topic, and one opens a fake account and buys 50 images from the other's account with his own credit card, is the other's account closed?

I don't want to specify the earnings figure. But it is among the top three stock sites 2 or 3 times a year. It has never been better than Adobe and istock, but there are months when it is better than Shutterstock. (The payment system has also changed, they now send payments every month)

(I am a video and photo producer. I have a small amount of free custom work. I don't know if it has any effect.)
