Hi Oscar - I am probably the best person to answer your question other than Laurin. I am Laurin's cousin Dave and I also shoot for Shutterstock and helped out on the forums for many years. I went by the user name HHLtDave5 Over that time I think we helped a lot of people but also made some enemies for various reasons. I got very tired of the forums mainly because of the negativity. I also became upset with Shutterstock itself and its payment policies. But to answer your question Laurin is still alive and living in West Hollywood. He still shoots and is still involved in his music although not like he was in years past.

Now I have seen the posts talking about how much of his musical career was BS and made up. The best way to settle this argument is to go to the industry databases on film and musical works created by a person. These facts are not put in by any person or artist but rather what has been registered with the various agencies and unions. For the film work you go to the IMDb database. This is an online database of information related to films, television series, podcasts, home videos, video games, and streaming content online. For his music go to the Discdogs database. www.discogs.com Going to these sites gives the actual industry facts and figures.
