We have many photographers starting to sell quit some images now after the changes we made and the increase of speed on the servers, so also hope for you that it will go the right way soon.

Hello Madelaine,
There was indeed little sales before we took over and thats what we have worked so har for the last year, The last 2 months the sales have really picked up because of the amount of improvements we have made (and are still making) and because of the great photographers.
So i guess its just a matter of 'time' now.... :-)

I completely agree with you on this, i don't understand this as well, people use time and effort uploading photo's and removing them will not generate any income and not to forget 'a name' at all.
We had a 1 or 2 photographers that were going to sell their images exclusively to some, so thats something i completely understand.

Hello Himiko,
Not sure why you are saying things like this, we completely understand that we don't own any images and that if images are removed by the photographer or us, they will not show up for sale anymore.
Please explain me why you are replying with a message like this? are there any images of you on our site that are still out for sale? if so, please let us know because that should not be case.

Thanks for the kind words Nightowlza.
The traffic has increased a lot and we are now trying to improve the speed on the whole site, including new upload options. because we are not satisfied yet :-)
The system that was installed when we took over the website did not work as planned and we have and are still developing it further to make the best out of it.
So thanks for sticking with us, we appreciate it a lot.

I tried logging in to Microstockphoto and got an 'unable to determine IP' error.
Does anybody know if te site closed?
Well nightowlza, Very strange that you are posting a message here when 'you' suddenly are not able to connect to the site, instead of checking if the problems are perhaps on your side or even contact us first if you have any problems. Perhaps you are not aware of that we are working very hard on upgrading the site constantly, and try to not have any downtime at all. Don't misunderstand me, we are very happy for all the great images you 'photographers' upload to the microstockphoto.com website. many photographers have sold quite some images. Personally i don't see the reason why photographers would delete image from a stockphoto site (unless selling them exclusively), but thats every photographers own right. The quality of images uploaded by professional photographers are very good and because there is a great variation of themes, makes it more attractive for customers. well, MAJOR is a big word. We have allready worked very hard on the website, which is the most important part before redirecting anybody to it. Affiliate system is in place, are working together with www.soholaunch.com on a contest, increased search engine opt. and much more to come. and have a lot of work off course approving images. Much more to come, but am not going to tell everything  Trying the best we can, but can't do everything at once, i hope you understand this. Ruben

well great to see that you have a referral program but a couple questions.
you say "You earn 20% commission* from every sale that comes from your referral."
Is the referral a buyer or a seller. That is to say, do we earn 20% of every image sale of our referred photographer, or do we earn 20% of every purchase of our referred buyer?
also in your terms of you use you say
NOT ALLOWED: All other uses of banners or links, such as newsgroups, chat rooms, ICQ, message boards, banner networks, hit farms, counters, or guestbooks etc. are NOT allowed.
Which means if people here became members of the affiliate program they couldn't put the link in their signature?? Isn't that were people usually put such links?
Hello Leaf, We have updated the Terms. yes, you can off course insert an affiliate link inside your signature. You will earn 20% of every purchase of your referred buyer. Ruben

Thanks for jumping in here Ruben. It is great to have input from the microstock sites.
Thanks leaf, I think its quite important to keep involved (til a certain degree) into forums like this, but on our Forum we try to keep all customers and photographers up to date on allmost everything we do. At least for now, to show that we are not sitting still and really try to improve every aspect of the site. drop by on our forum whenever you have time.

Ruben, thanks for posting here. Since your intentions are to re-actualize the site, I wouldn't mind having my portfolio up again. Would it be easy from your side to retrieve the pictures I deleted on Sept.5, or are they completely erased ?
If you have deleted them than they are indeed gone, since we are on a complete new server we don't have access to any backups on the old server. but i can create an FTP account for you if that makes things easier for you. drop us a mail through the website http://microstockphoto.com/support.php asking for an FTP account and I will set it up for your right away. We also had the text "Image Reviewed" and have changed this to "Image approved"

The last few days and weeks we have been working very hard on the site.
Some of the new features are:
- New approval system, which makes things much clearer and better to understand for photographer why a photo has been rejected.
- Improved search engines search (which has allready resulted in a climb and better rating)
- New design (which has allready been mentioned here)
- New Server
- New Forum
- and much more upcoming.
The most important thing we are focussing on now is of course the sales.

I can't imagine i have said that im too busy to sort it out. I might have said that we are working on the problem.
Which we indeed have done and fixed any upload problems. We even offer FTP upload accounts for photographers who are interested in that solution and we would be more than happy to help you out with any problem you might have.
The last few days and weeks we have been working very hard on the site.

- New approval system, which makes things much clearer and better to understand for photographer why a photo has been rejected.
- Improved search engines search (which has allready resulted in a climb and better rating)

The most important thing we are focussing on now is offcourse the sales.
We are glad you all like the new look and have received great response from everybody about this.
