I really love this place.. thank you so much for your help and the info. easydigitaldownloads is interesting indeed and I may consider the mentioned theme if the developer is continually updating it (seems he does!)

thanks guys.. It is a wordpress theme/plugin and there are alternatives. I agree, a waste of time.
Really! Wordpress alternatives? can you please mention them? I'm currently using Ktools but not happy with their SEO (it really sucks) another reason is that google considers Mobile-friendly as a ranking factor now..

so -Skrill will no longer be an option (what if someone doesn't have the alternative payment methods as an option?) -30% taxes on all the US sales?! (does that apply to the PP income?) -anything else I missed?

it's not the market, it's SS 0.13 x let's say 1000 monthly downloads (the actual number are much much higher) = $130 x (at least) 10,000 contributors, you do the math.. and since many new PROFESSIONAL contributors are joining SS every month they can now apply this formula.. honestly why wouldn't they?! those new contributors can produce almost the same image quality, so why should SS loose 0.13 in every sale?! fortunately the game doesn't end here, it's just a matter of time and a margin call

Got my notice. Overpayment of $1571.00. Monthly recoupment $261.
It's going to hurt.
Lisa, mine is Over Payment Total=$1,570.50 Monthly Recoup Amount=$261.75
The numbers are just way too close. What's your portfolio size on istock? I wonder if this is all bullsh*t and they are just taking money back according to portfolio size... may have nothing to with actual "overpayment".
Hmmm. Mine is $331.56 with a port size of 2428, or .136 cents per image. Might be a starting point to test.
I got almost the exact numbers.. that's strange! Is Istock going banana or something?

Don't go with Ktools,
Horrible SEO, Bad support (it's like messaging Hitler) and finally "if" you manage to customize it, you're stuck with what you got, to upgrade you'll need to do the customization all over again..
Not recommended!

It's encouraging to read that got your images to the queue page Tom
I have tried for some days now, with photos that were uploaded using FTP. The files upload OK but all I seem to get when I try to process the uploaded files is: "Uploading...Please Wait...". And I have waited for many hours.
True Story

Updating..
I'm 99% positive that it was SS (although I'm not sure whether it was a bug or a regular images shuffle by the staff..) anyway my most popular images are "somehow" back to their old position, sales are are heading toward my normal too.. no complaints, I guess that's the nature of our business, sometime we eat, sometime we're meat ^^ thank you all.

Ride the wave while you can but don't be surprised when it crashes.
If you're seeing large long-term decreases then my guess is that you may have had a niche all to yourself that now has been found (or copied) by others.
that's exactly what I'm doing, I'm like waiting for that particular moment.. meanwhile maintaining my ratio, making my port a bit bigger and investing in "myself" in my free time (learning new skills) so I can abandon the ship safely when it sinks, well, at least that's the idea.. that's the curse of having many files in the first page >< I'm not only being copied, I'm being traced, literally! they're using my (and other illustrators) work as reference and they release these huge vector sets that would take forever if you were designing it from scratch.

Strange! still down.. like a back dive I need to change my job, it's like living in a mines field, you never know when it's gonna blow you up! (sales, popular search, contributor's level etc..) these unpredictable things are nightmares. If my sales keep going like this, I might hit BME.
best wishes ^^

I had many files accepted at Istock via the "Scout" thing due to inspector mistakes but in general they are unbiased maybe a little bit picky but they know what they are doing. anyway the most ridiculous rejection I've ever seen came from Dreamstime, I don't know about their photos inspection but they sure know #hit about vector illustration; not to mention their annoying uploading system (for vector), daaah.

it's better if you design phrases/words/badges instead of letters, since they are more usable from a designer perspective, if you are serious about sales I recommend releasing them in vector format not raster. good luck ;}

I'm not sure what you mean by Normal, but I guess it's far from being normal, neither sales or images position are normal, in fact my sales are dropping down really fast!

CMSaccount has a little nicer UI for the buyer.
When adding something to your cart to buy this is how it plays out CMSaccount - You click 'add to cart' and you get a java pop up that the image was added to your card. (1 click, 0 page loads)
Yes, Ktools should really consider this in their upcoming updates, this is not a luxury feature it's an essential one, if a client want to buy more than one image he needs an easy way to organize/add items to his cart, the current lightbox system isn't that ideal (it doesn't allow you to buy the whole items in the lightbox at once)

I guess they assume you're linking to your blog or personal website, not a "competitive" website?!

Lots of things, Slider, easier navigation, more gateways, improved design (still need lots of work if you ask me) easier integration with other scripts (like Google Analytics) etc..
however I don't think upgrading is the best idea if you've been using PS3 for a while, at least not without strong SEO knowledge.
