I have uploaded my initial 10 images which 5 were okay and 5 rejected (One had model release problem)
They gave me two weeks wait time.
Is any thing changed with wait time ?
I remember it was 30 days not two weeks.

Hello every body.

I have some lab glassware shots, I use a UK brand glassware.
They have a print which determines the accuracy of the glass.
Do you think this hits a copyright issue ?
Most of the glasses I use from Glass_co have the accuracy print circle...

One of my images containing this print has already a few sales.
Any thing to do ?
Better to delete or re-submit an image without those prints?
Is it possible having a property release from the company makes those glasses ?

Thanks for your replies.
Are they LCV because of over saturated subject, just a useless subject or it's due to how I composed/created the image ?
I still have problems with finding good subjects and creating good images and need assistance with this.

That's interesting that DT rejected the second crop when I resubmitted the tighter crop.
Reason :
Image subject is too specific or niche-oriented. The primary goal of a stock image is to be generic and match as many usage types as possible. Your image is not generic enough and will not generate significant sales. Please try to recreate/rephotograph the scene differently and/or use this info for more generic images in the future.

I think DT just does not like this image !

Thanks guys for your quick response.
I did not get a lighting rejection for the minaret.
The minaret had a crop/composition problem and I gave it a tighter crop.
I guess I need more details photo for the minaret with the current crop.
Should I crop it tighter?

Hello every body.

I have the following files rejected on DT.
The minaret is rejected due to composition and the corn due to lighting problem.
Could you please assist me how to fix the issues with them ?

Hello every one.

I use an old Minolta External Flash with my D7000 which has a trigger voltage of 3V.
I do not recall it's exact model right now, but will post it here for more info.

The problem is that when it is mounted on the camera and I set camera on manual,
and use it for portrait and closeup subjects, the flash some times does not fire.
I use Eneloop NiMh batteries and they are pretty fine with the flash.
when I press flash's test button it fires, but it does not with the shutter.

Should I stop using it ?

Hello again and thanks for your valuable information and advices.
Today I have tried again, results was much better today.
I have attached an image of mountain trees which are about 2 miles away.
I get the best results with F/8 - F/10 on a tripod and manual focus

Is the sharpness okay for this kit ?
Will it pass a review by picky reviewers like shutterstock's or photolia's ?

If I apply sharpen filter on the image once, the result is much better...
Included for comparison...

Any ideas ?

Hello all.

I got a new D7000 last month, with two lenses Nikkor 18-55 VR DX and Nikkor 55-200 VR DX.
When I mount the 18-55 on my camera, the images I shoot are all some kinda soft and not crisp sharp.

I have tried several different conditions. all have the same issue.
Live focus gives me a slightly better images but overall image quality is not as good as it must be.
I have tried photographing mountains with F/8  ISO 100 and around 1/640 Shutter speed with VR off
Long time exposure on a tripod with VR Off and also many other shots.
Do you think I need a replacement for this lens ?

55-200 preforms better with the same conditions. Image quality when I use 18-55 liveview is a bit lower than 55-200 autofocus.

I have also tried adjusting the AF fine tune but no luck yet...

There are sample of 100% crops here. please check and lemme know what you think...

Well I live in a country where none of these are available:
Paypal, Payoneer, moneybookers, Swift, Visa/MasterCard and so.
I have mananged to receive a wire transfer from two of the agencies in my account outside of my country.
Also Alamy and Inmagine do support Wire Transfer as payment methods, but other may not accept.
Registering paypal with invalid info is a big risk, if you get limited then all the money is lost !

How if I receive many checks and take them to a foreign bank and show them with my ID to cash them ?
Maybe requesting an account from that bank would be a good idea

Since there is no bank that can cash my checks here (Sanctioned country).

I have not received any payment from my agency yet.
Seems that they send checks.
How can I cash the check since I live in a sanctioned country?
I cannot cash those checks in Iran since there is no banking relations.
Please assist me for getting paid.

I can only receive my payments to the following options:
Webmoney, Liberty Reserve and and check.
I have a bank account with one of Azerbaijan banks that will help.

I'm planning to get a DSL in the near future.
My favorite camera is the Nikon D7000.
Wont it take ages to earn $1500 for the D7000 ?


Another question is payment requests, I live in a sanctioned country which there is
no paypal, no moneybookers, no payoneer and etc.
Are company checks which sent from agencies cash in any bank you walk in?
I have a plan to receive the checks and then carry them to a bank outside of my country
I have also an account with one of banks in Azerbaijan, maybe I can deposit check amounts but need help.
Opening paypal account is a bit risky for me as I must use invalid address and limitation risk is always present !

There is another question too.
How to start promoting my images?
Starting a website or a weblog ?
Or posting on forums (not spamming) and so ??
Or they will find their sales only based on the keywords ?

Thanks every one for your great suggestions and help.
Being rejected is not annoying for me.
Just it's going to be too long if I fail this time because every time waiting period increases.
Now I have waited for 2 weeks. Waiting so long may be a bit annoying.
How ever I learned that I should not get annoyed easily in this profession.

Another quesion is about depositphotos and fotolia.
fotolia passed images that depositphotos did not !
depositphotos rejected 9 files for artifacts visible at 100%

How is the subject I'm working on?
I have easy access to 4 chemistry and biology laboratories since I am the responsible person there

Hi every one.

I have started stock photography a few months ago and growing slowly.
I have submited around 15 images to various microstock agencies but
every of them select a few except canstockphoto that approved all of them.
I have a few views per image but no downloads yet.

I would like to request visit and review to my images and portfolios.
Please let me know what do you think about Quality, subject, composition and if there any thing I should consider.
I am using a compact digital camera Nikon coolpix S2500 12 MP.

I also have troubles getting accepted on istockphotos.com, I have tried 3 times but they gave me a rejection.
3rd time I submited three images were,
