Thank you Karin and Stockastic..
please do me another favour and tell that if one guy fails his 1st QC then is he informed by alamy in time and after how many days/hours can he retry the QC...?
is alamy very specific or strict for noise ? as i posted 4 pix last night and now when i look one of those pix i found moderate level noise in a portion of photo.. damnn i could not see that.. but its not that much as shown by alamy QC help section in an example photo... what are the chances that they don't qualify my 4 pix ?   ???

I've submitted a few ISO 640, 800 and 1600 images to Alamy with no QC failures yet. I did remove the chroma (color) noise but left the luminance noise slider alone in the RAW convertor. No noise reduction software used after either.

This really helps Michael, and is much appreciated.

I do have a related question...
Why do some photos show being accepted at first, like this:

...but then end up showing being rejected for one partner agency or even all partner agencies, like this?

then...sometimes...

Was it because the first time is done automatically based on just technical reasons such as file size, but then rejected later on closer manual inspection? Was it because I set the price level as Premium but the inspectors thought it should have been set at the Standard price level?

I'm just concerned I'm doing something wrong on a few of my photos that are accepted on Zoonar, and were initially shown as accepted for a particular partner agency, but were later shown as rejected by all of the partner agencies.

Thanks for the update Michael!   :)

No sales at Zoonar yet. Been there since late December if I recall correctly. But I'm holding out for when the approved pictures start showing up on Photolibrary and AgeFotoStock. Especially my RM license stuff. As far as I can tell no photos from Zoonar are showing up at these two partners yet.

Just a suggestion to Michael Krabs, when our photos start showing up on Photolibrary and AgeFotoStock, it would be appreciated if you could send an email out to the contributors. Or at least give us an update when this might happen. Thanks.

What type of film do you need to scan, 35mm slides/strips and or medium format film?

That's just been my experience mostly with Istock. So it's all I know. (The other Micro sites have been recent additions to the list I submit to.)
I've submitted photos in the past (to test the waters) in which I had the right exposure, removed the color noise in the RAW converter, did minimal (if any) processing, saved the JPG at level 12 in Photoshop and they'd still send it back for artifacts and noise. I'd take it and run it through some noise reduction and it would get accepted. To me, it looked like I was removing detail. So irritating.

What about Alamy? Anyone?

One of the thinks I've always hated about Micro is that I have to apply noise reduction to get nearly anything through the inspection process. I hate it because I know there is more detail in my photos than what I'm supplying. I can't always shoot at ISO 100 to get the right exposure. I don't mind taking out the color noise but to get rid of the ISO grain all together for Micro... I hate it.

So, with that said do have to make everything look like plastic for Alamy too? Do skys have to be completely grain free for Alamy?

Good info to know. I will wait a little while longer. Thanks.
On a side note: I never though Right-Managed would be a direction I would go in but something in the back of my mind always had me not putting some of my favorite images up on the Micro sites because I believed those pictures were worth much more than a few dollars.

I signed up for Alamy a little over a week ago but didn't get to upload anything until last Sunday. I read through the Alamy forum threads there and it seems wait times for the "Awaiting QC" step is usually 1 to 2 days. But it's been a little over 5 days now. Is this what everyone else is experiencing?

This is my first very small batch to Alamy to test the waters. These images were my better sellers in the past.
