I noticed this too. I can kinda see why it's going on though, or at least from the perspective of an illustrator. The upload is a hassle on DT. Instead of allowing you to just upload the eps file you have to upload jpg and copy/paste code or wait for the jpg to be accepted and upload it through the online file, which is easier than the code thing imo. On top of this they will reject your image for key wording reasons (and my key wording is accurate, no other website ever has a problem with my key-wording) which makes you have to upload all over again spend more hours of your time...This slows down not only the contributor but also slows the pace of the website receiving newer images...

Nevertheless it does make my jaw drop a little bit. I kinda thought DT would stay there always but...That's microstock for you. It's ever changing. And I figured if any other website were to replace one of the 4 it would be DP.

I did notice DepositPhotos picking up in pace a lil more for me but I thought that was just due to increasing my own portfolio.

because there is a small contingent of photographers that hate IS. if you are good at what you do IS is second to none (in my opinion) to any other microstock agency.

Hmm I don't know. I'm an illustrator not a photographer but I have played with images before. Sometimes I guess it could be a good idea to show off the fact that you put more talent into the photo that just taking a snapshot, right? Show off skills.

By the way I love you're gif image it's hilarious! I feel like beating my head against the desk sometimes myself, but then that would hurt... A lot!

Lucky for me, or maybe just cause I'm an illustrator, it took me one try to become an SS contributor. 

It was around Christmas time and I quite a few winter/Christmas images. 8/10 were accepted and I started seeing sales after a day or two of them being accepted(maybe overnight, don't remember that well).

Yeah, they're pretty awesome. My only complaint is the upload time but that's to be expected since i'm sure it's due to high traffic of uploads. I love how they also have so many ways to help you promote your stuff too.
