Again I am reading all your comments with great interest.
Today I had my first paid gig..
Hair and makeup only. So upscale head shots
It was fun.. Up at 5:30 am.. drive 45 minutes.. arrive on time...
Get make up on.. shoot,  get more make up on.. shoot.. get more make up on..shoot
The photographer .. a young man named Alex Owen did the shoot and Dinandrea Vega was paying.. It was her "gig" ..
I think it went well.  They all told me they were happy
Hope to have a few pictures for my MM site by end of week.
I hope they rate me or make nice comments as I agree that this is a profession..no one wants to be kept waiting.. we all want to be paid.. if possible..
Finally.. I would really like someone to pay me enough to buy the car too.. lol..  yep .. in our dreams but I am trying to get some basic work.. braces come off in June.. yeah.. summer will be more available..
Is there anything I can help with .. contact me .. preferably through MM site as that is the site I check the most.  Looking forward to maybe working with some of the great photographers on this site someday.

Noticed an old thread that stated the girl next door is good for stock shots.. Well that's me..
Noticed an old thread from 2008 and thought I'd try to answer.. but this site wants me to start a new thread.

As for paying models.  Yeah we like to be paid.. period.. so does photographers.  food and cars and housing is nice..  I do TFPs but not much.. Don't really see the need to do the crotch shot. Going to try to do a nice high end glam-our with some skin but not much.. working up to it.. Picking the right photographer is most important.

Ok it's a total ad right now.. lol.. but I am in LA and am trying to get some work so I can buy a car...
I would love to get some basic magazine or catalog work.. anyone out there in LA area that does this..

I agree, the girl next door type has a much broader appeal for stock work. I'm having a hard time finding the right type at this point.
