I have sent support an email about one rejected image but I am not hopeful, a shame as 123 is doing ok for me with my small port.

Most of my images that I have found being used with watermarks on are from 123

I have an old copy of corel draw installed (ver 11) and have been playing with a few vecotr's. I enjoy learning new skills and would oike to upload for stock (a great way to get motivated and the harsh requirements make you learn).

I did something but when I converted to AI using a guide I found on the web it looked shocking compared to the original.

Does anyone else use coreldraw (succesfully) for their stock vectors?

I am a minnow at this but I did have a couple of bonkers reviews (property release required for a 15th century coin).

To be fair I emailed them (only time I have ever complained I think) and it was sorted quickly.

looks lile my order has been dispatched, got a 27" dell IPS fopr £360 so uts not horrendouslky more than a bog standard screen anyway and I fancied the extra space.

I currently use a bog standard 24" acer screen but my lad needs a new screen for gaming etc, mine is fine for this.

This gives mne the option to go for something aimed at photography.

I am looking at the Dell IPS screens, specifical;ly the U2711 27" IPS model that I have found for £400.

Does having a wide gamut screen make any difference and therefore worth the extra £'s?

I'm in  asimilar boat to you as a newbie.

I bought my first camera last October and stumbled upon microstock shortly afterwards. 100 quid a month is a challenging target if, like me, you a starting froma skill and knowledge base of zero.

On the positive side I am just about to pay for my first camera kit (£450) and get around £50 a month now across all the sites I upload to.

Most of the posters on here are serious players and offer great advice, use it and you can make money. Just remember that at first it really is peanuts and only worth doing if you enjoy the process for its own sake.

p.s I found that my aceptance rate increased dramatically when I bought a decent prime lens with a reputation for being pin sharp and used that for most of my pics intended for stock rather than the kit lenses.

congrats from someone not far further down the Istock/Shutterstock road.

FWIW I find shutterstock easier to get on with and far more lucrative (in my very small scale experience)
