I don't have any photo equipment right now because I am a graphic designer and my portofolio contains only vector images. Is it a good ideea to extend myself in this photographic journey or forget about it and remain in the graphic designer area? Maybe you are right. As a newbie in photography I don't have many chances when the agencies are already flooded with high quality photos. I don't know what decision to take.

Can you recommend me a good dsrl + kit lens? My budget is 1300 dollars. Thank you.

The g1x mark 2 has a focus ring which can help to achieve the depth of field effect.

For the moment I just want a good high quality camera pocketable camera like the one I mentioned before. I guess this G1x mk2 is acceptable for shooting stock.

Hello. I just submitted earlier a photo taken with my LG G2 smartphone and submitted to Shutterstock. It has a good camera and images are sharp and clear like most photos shooted with high end smartphone cameras. Was it a good ideea to submit it to Shutterstock? Will they aprove smartphone photos or I should delete the file before the inspection?

I'm on a tight budget and I don't plan to invest in a dslr camera,lens and other upgrades in the near future. That's the reason I want to invest in a very good p & s camera for the moment. I plan to use it for shooting landscapes, nature, food, isolated objects, textures like rusty doors, old walls.

I am not a professional photographer. I admit that I won't be in the elite range of microstockers with super expensive equipment but as I read on many sites,this camera is advertised as dsrl like quality of image.

Today I opened one of my files that I submitted in the past to Shutterstock and I discovered some aesthetical problems. I fixed and now I plan to delete the file from Shutterstock and resubmit it with a note to reviewer explaining that I want to replace the file from the site with the file that I fixed. Is it okay to delete it and then resubmit with a note to reviewer or just leave it for the reviewer as a proof and let him delete it?

I agree. That's an interesting point of view. As I hate sad endings and say goodbye to soon to those agencies, I decided to leave them for the moment and concentrate on my top 3 earners.

Currently I have sales only on Shutterstock, Fotolia and Depositphotos. No sales for 3-4 months on Dreamstime (big disappointment as they are on big earner top list) ,Bigstock, Canstock, Graphicriver, Cutcaster, Stockfresh, 123rf, Istock. I need an advice. Is it a right decision to cancel the account on non-earners agencies and focus on the first 3 and have more time for designs ?

as a beginer do you recommend to upload only to 1 single best site and then after the sales will grow, try to expand my port to another site?

The vector image

  I tried some days ago to submit a raster version of an approved vector and today I got the confirmation email : "Image and/ or elements of  image have  been poorly
isolated." I don't understand what's the problem since I uploaded many rastered versions in the past that got accepted, and they were all isolated on white background. And this file is no different from the rest. It's just a flower isolated on white background.

Here is a good explained tutorial about creating a tile seamless pattern http://vectips.com/tutorials/create-a-trendy-seamless-type-pattern. The pattern on the artboard must pe included also in the swatches panel. Try then to submit to istock as they are very laborious in checking the file technically. If they approve your file then your on the right path.
