I've been getting an empty file too, which can't be opened. I contacted Shutterstock and the answer was that my 1099M form had not been generated. They told me to go to my Bigstock account and download the form from there. I was able the get it from there. So, if you are getting an empty file and have a Bigstock account, you may want to check from there.   

I have been wondering too if there will be the same contributor bonus program this year 2022?

I reached a new royalty tier June 1st, however I'm still getting paid based on the old rate now a month later. A couple of weeks ago got a response from BS that they will be looking into this. I can not understand how it can take so long time to fix this issue. Very frustrating.  Anyone else having similar issues with their royalty tier?
