iStockPhoto.com / Re: Getty's new $100m debt
November 10, 2015, 18:06
There is senior debt and un secured lower postion debt. - this just looks like someone moving their debt up to a more senior position in exchnage for some cash for Getty

Not real encouraging the way i read it.
I agree if getty wadnt saddled with so much debt they would be in a better position
The debt  is holding them back in every way

well i"m gonna miss the $699.00 price point for RF - which is now $525.00.
personally I don't think the clients paying $699.000 care about the price change.. ..its just less money for me.   It wasn't long ago (less than a year) that they moved tons of collections to the lower price tier to help clients save money. So now the cheap clients will have to pay more again and the clients who will pay full price get a deal?  not my favorite move.   Honestly I think having premium content at a higher price and maybe old images costing a bit less is a good idea.   Like a few have said many clients already get super good deals well below any of these price points.

I think adding Getty and even FAA makes this site more useful and valuable.
great idea.

I'm surprised the average so far is still as high as it it is for many.
It seems like $1 per image per month is still doable?  Even with millions of
Images out there.
Thats not bad if it's an average.  Im sure plenty of people are doing much less as there niches's get flooded or their port gets buried.
Higher than i thought so far

it sounds like you would need to add words or change the image a little to sell it as an art print?

Dreamstime I have no idea about?
anyone know?

just curious what people think an average RPI is these days for microstock.
Not long ago it was $1 per month for me but it has dropped to less than half that now.
so RPI 6   - $6 per image per year
I can see it is dropping for most people but I haven't seen any recent threads.
cheers
