Same here - I have the feeling that we are experiencing the melt down of the whole microstock industry. The fact that Shutterstock is now merging with iStock only confirms my impression....

Adobe is trying to do the best it can in the current scenario,as am I.
continuing to row against something that cannot be stopped is useless, rather,it's better to spend our time on something we can change,or that perhaps we can still change.
AI in all its applications cannot be stopped,it is we who must find different solutions to adapt to a completely different present, very different from 10 years ago and completely different from 20 years ago.
And Adobe is flooding the market with these works, selling them and using them for its own purposes. I don't think this copyright disaster with all its consequences and often poor quality is here to stay, but Adobe seems to like it.

I found this contributor at Adobe today: https://stock.adobe.com/ch_de/contributor/209153539/oleg?load_type=author&prev_url=detail
He has almost 315k (!) generated images. What the heck? But at least he has a good, probably manual quality control.
But still, how do you manage to generate so many images in such a short time? It can only be a huge team, probably from Eastern Europe (Oleg?) I wouldn't be surprised if they start completely plagiarizing other agencies with Img2Img and Inpaint at some point in the future.
Extremely demotivating.
lol, wow! does he have a special pass on how much he can upload? because I'd say he's uploading 30-40k/month then...
but eh, don't worry about it... focus on yourself. imagine there is just one GIGANTIC contributor that has 35 MILLION "ai" images, because in essence that is kind of what it is like.
All the stuff spams the results pages with questionable results because there are so many different accounts, if it were just one, it wouldn't be a major problem.

The contact form for the tax center is not working. I have been getting an error message for over a month now.
As i can see it`s the same with - Reporting that error: Something went wrong with Contact Us request processing
Sorry - For a company of its size, this is a serious poor performance.

At least no one will be fighting over the drumstick on Thanksgiving
It's quite funny, actually, because the authenticity of the Ki images is in many cases lousy, and this is not sorted out by either the creators or the image checkers. A worst case scenario. With regard to the "Christmas goose" - perhaps the world should now be prepared for artificial meat and artificial meat products...

It is interesting to see how, since the AI hype, people are popping up all over the net, including here, trying to tell the "old-timers" how the business works and how great AS has become.
I am sorry, but those of us who have been around for a while know AS and especially Fotolia very well. But unfortunately I have to agree that AS has become much worse in many aspects and this has not only to do with the flood of AI images.
Especially from the customer's point of view. For example, the search in German has become so bad that you have to question whether there are beginners at work behind the scene. This has to do with some peculiarities of the German language, such as the way words are written together and other factors. It is probably the same with other languages. I wouldn't complain if it hadn't worked fine before, but this is just bumbling now.

Today I had two Video-Sales so long at AS; on for $6.40 another one for $2.80
I have a cut in income because I get paid in $ now.
Extended licenses are on a level of maybe 25 % of that, as it was in the last years.
So there is not just one cut in income to me!

Because of the accounting, Adobe is supposedly paying 10% less - Really? - and _Half full_ thinks this is good. I got your point... It is obvious part of society to support unfairness from some people.
As you can easily check, images keyworded in english on Adobe Stock rank better in the english language space, which is far larger - UNFAIR!
The internal translation mechanism has been delivering poorer results outside the English-speaking world for months - UNFAIR!
Now 10 percent less - without equalizing this situation overall, i.e. also for buyers from the EU - UNFAIR! Well, the buyers will get to know that.

The average revenues at AS are also on the way down for me. I have less and less individual sales with 3.30 and subscription/custom sales now seems completely arbitrary to me.

January 2022 dls = 113 so far. January 2021 dls (full month) = 204 $$ (so far) less than half of last year.
My January with SS is also pretty slow... and to many small abos. So at the moment the earnings are far under average.

Hi Mat
I have images in my portfolio, i would give out for this program.
But, can you/Adobe make it a bit easier to nominate them, if someone doesnt want to nominate either all, or select every single pic.
Maybe, Adobe can make a button on each page to select all (on every page), so it would be easier to deselect the ones, i don't want to have in the free section?

To me it is the opposite, not only because of the the pure translation from german to english. Even if it works and i do a search in english, many pictures doesn't show up at the first or second result page. It doesn't happen with every picture, but still.
In which language are you keywording?

Fotolia was great for me over many years - AS is moving in a wrong direction, well they already did, because the credit buyers are almost gone... ... and the subscription model doesn't fit for everyone. And it`s just peanuts for the contributors is well.
So the result for me after all, it would be better if Adobe wouldn't have bought Fotolia! Just like i thought at the beginning.

Many of you received an email stating that the issue affected sales on February 12, but the correct time period was February 6 - 13. As soon as we have updated information we will share it with you.
I had 5 deductions. And because, its always more, then on weekend-days at all, it must have been under the week then. On the other Hand, the "real" earnings on at least two of this days, are now much to low in average. It doesn't make Sense to me...

So nice to see all improvements you're making. Thanks for that! Now what I would really love to see is number of views for each image (as it was on Fotolia). That would be awesome. Keep up the great work!
Yes, keep on going - I miss the download counter, as it was shown for each image at fotolia by moving the mousepointer over it.

fotolia by miles...and one question, anybody saw where has gone the credits sales? in january zero sales over 99 cents,..mostly 36 cent... Same to me. this January is my worst month since I'm at fotolia so far, for over 10 years. But I don't wonder about it, because all the fotolia buyers are now extremely forced to move to adobe stock and buy abos. So some do and some don't, or go somewhere else. Also the pics that before sold with an extended licenses are almost gone, or going out by much lower prices, where I cant see a system behind...

Hey Mat This are bad News, not only for all the exclusive Fotolia contributors who still have credit sales at Fotolia.

Hi All,
I want to let you know that the requests and suggestions made after the Fotolia site was upgraded last month are still being reviewed and implemented where possible. The newest change has been activated.
You can now add up to 200 characters when submitting an image title/description.
We are continuing to work on reducing your submission time. More to come soon, please keep sending your suggestions and needs.
-Mat
I have a suggestion to get much better search results ... Use the title tag, as most relevant, as any search engine for internet content does it. At the moment, the image can not even be found, if the keyword is just in the title, at least in the german version. >> You can now add up to 200 characters when submitting an image title/description. Why so many, and what for, if they are not searchable?
