Did you ever check your stats with DeepMeta? Just filter your sales by "sales month" and "report month" and compare the results. I'm not sure the new DM4 can do it, use the desktop version.

They doesn't. If you will check purchase dates in your monthly reports, you will see many sales from past months.

Only FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS happened in the reporting month will be counted and paid out. Not "downloads".

It is why the current "downloads" stats is very confusing for newbies, and the numbers will never aligned with the sales report.

Because at the moment of download, the monetary transaction is not always happening. Unlike other agencies, which are stealing contributors' money, iStock implemented a "fair trade" subscription model: sale price is not fixed for contributors (only the minimum if fixed but not maximum); the full amount client paid is splitting between contributors proportionally their downloads number. So, theoretically, if a client downloaded only one picture, this one contributor will get not fixed 5 cents but hundreds of dollars. It is a rare situation but in fact, it works and subscriptions bring interesting money for some transactions time by time. But it can be calculated only at the end of the client's billing period, not at the moment of purchase.

So, please, don't push iStock to show your daily earnings. It would mean you (and, what is more important, ME) will lose money

This approach is wrong in general. To sell stock, you must pick your subject and it has to be unique, technically and logistically challenging - otherwise you will compete with millions of stock-monkey targeting "apples on white". Doesn't matter if it's aerial or not. If you are in stock for money, of course - I know many people who have different motivations to spend their lives here

Another hand... Drone photography is profitable because of less competition, and personally, I would like it will stay this way

Oleg Sharonov, developer of retouch4me plugins, got interested in the idea of dedicated hands retouching plugin.  You know, it has its own specifics - burrs, swollen cuticles, crookedly trimmed nails, and the texture of the hand's skin is specific.

He asked to share pictures with close-up hands to train the neural network. He needs full sizes without retouching, it is possible with a color correction but without retouching.

Plz let's help
He is a respectable, reliable and responsible person, he won't steal pictures (and I hope, the community will not steal from each other, too)

You can't do both. But if you submitted files with wrong attribution, you may try to write a note to the inspector and ask to return the batch for revision because of mistakes. In most cases it helps. Also, you may change keywording and other metadata via support after files will be accepted - in this case you have to open a ticket.

Exclusivity at iS is artist exclusivity, so you can only sell RF files via iS/Getty. If you are caught out, you'll likely be removed altogether (I think that has happened in the past, someone can correct me if I'm wrong).
You can sell other (non-sister) files RM anywhere you like or on print sites like Fine Art America (other suppliers are available).

Don't mess up "exclusivity" and "sale price". Yes, the old photos will stay in the "essential" collection and will cost 1 credit.

But on iStock, exclusivite means not "pictures' exclusivity" but "contributor's exclusivity" - you will be the exclusive cobtributor, and ALL your RF-imagery must be exclusive for iStock. It means that all your accounts in otger agencies must be turned down.

You will still able to sell your imagery in otger agencies via other licenses though - for example, via RM license, ir as goods on POD services.

Also, I don't remember exactly my income percentage split between iStock and Getty, but in fact, Getty's part is going up constantly.

iStock exclusivity is the great thing if you have a proper portfolio and ready to work under the briefs. And to work hard, BTW.

I'm iStock exclusive since 2007, and I made barely $1000-$1200 per month, which was nothing. But it was my side-project all those years. Since I started to work focused on it 2016, I have the constant growth in my income. Since 2018, I makes my live in the USA exclusively from iStock/Getty and I dropped almost all my freelance gigs. This pandemic year going almost 1.5 times better than the previous one. RPD is higger than $4 (combined for photo and video), with 35% royalty (and I expecting to reach 40% for video this year). Video is growing fast, photo is more tough market but still good.

But you have to evaluate your portfolio. You will have a good income only if you will have good S+ acceptance level, and the criteria for S+ acceptance is very strict and specific. It is not enough just to have a "nice quality content" - many great SS-like portfolios would have no chances there. Do your research. Long story short, if you don't shooting people, forget about it (not quite true but close enough).

And keep in mind that iStock exclusivity means TOTAL exclusivity: you can't sell RF-imagery nowhere else, so, all your accounts in other agencies must be shutted dowb prior you will move to exclusivity.

BTW, if you do speak Russian, check out my webinar "Интимные тайны iStock" - almost 5 hours, lol, but people reported that it was helpful
