As far as we know, lightroom does it too. You can batch watermark photos.
First turn on the Watermark option and and select Edit Watermarks, the rest is pretty straight forward. Then you can batch export your photos watermarked.

Interesting case in fact.
What are the terms when uploading and dealing with SS? I don't use them so I don't know but I guess they do have the contributors sign and agree to such thing no? As long as it is watermarked?
Still I agree with you this is problematic.....
