General Photography Discussion / Re: Do you file taxes on your income from stock photography? (Honest)« on: May 22, 2018, 14:28 »
Thank you all very much. Being a student, I've yet to pay taxes for the first time. I have a large portfolio of pictures that were ready for stock but I think I will wait until I settle down to avoid double taxation.
Most importantly, I hope everyone understands that this question was never meant in an offensive way, as made clear by my age, it's an honest one, I thank you for your replies! 3

This is intended to seek out honest opinions on whether most of you pay taxes on your stock photography incomes or not. I'm scheduled to move countries in 2 years, and my current country of residence has a lot of hurdles to sell stock the official way. Accordingly I'm going to put off selling my images until later.
So I'd like to see what the majority are doing regarding this. 4

Dear All
I should have prefaced this post mentioning that I have spent days if not weeks digging the internet for free templates and most of them are rip-offs of one in particular. However, this question is about how to WRITE one, not how to use a preexisting one. Surely we are not lawyers here, but do you know what clauses are absolutely a must? eg. The Photog and the Customer, the Price to be paid, the estimated total pictures provided, liability, cancellation etc. I hope my question is more clear and not grounds for deletion anymore. 5

I was approached recently by a dog breeder to click pictures of her dogs and I've never written a contract. I could approach this two ways:
1) Do the job for her and charge her full 2) Get a release to sell the resulting pictures and charge less. Do you have any templates that you refer to- it's my first time and I have no clue what bits are a must and what is just excess. 6

Thanks Sean!
Wouldn't that affect their existing uses of my image badly? 7

Hello!
I'm a new member, glad to be a part of this community! ![]() Is it possible to delete a picture from a portfolio after you have made sales on it? It's on of the reasons I'm thinking about licensing the best of the best solely through my website.
